This looks cool, any idea where I could pick one up locally?
moog audio has it for like $72....they are on queen street.....

im probably gonna get one for the missus so she will get off my gear
...it has a built in arpeggiator too(neat feature for a midi controller), interested to play around with that too
long and mcquades and steves probably have it too, or they can order it for ya....although i recommend moog....there staff are very nice and almost too knowledgeable....

I would have to play with the latest OpenMPT to see if it supports the MIDI extension you're talking about.
not necessarily talking just about midi stuff, more just the ins and outs of using trackers....im the hardware guy....you are the software master!

Thanks, doing it with a real FM chip is much more limiting though (usually 6 channels, no stereo and no PCM)
i was actually reading up on how to 'rip' instruments from sega roms and use them in trackers...i was reading the thread on chipmusic.org
http://chipmusic.org/forums/topic/1832/ ... esis-roms/
havent tried it, but seems promising....mind you i havent tried the tracker they are referring to, but it seems the 'best' for sega stuff from my research
and im just about ready to start that guwange boss theme cover on the mc-303....its gonna be awesome!!!
i will probably do a gameboy version when im done since i will have all the parts figured out....just a matter of sound design and laying out the notes in lsdj
should be able to do it with just one unit
i also just signed up for soundcloud, but i havent uploaded anything yet.... im also gonna give bandcamp a try....
i just want a simple way of making my music freely available for download/streaming....i avoid social network sites so myspace and shit like that is out
