Just a guest character, doesn't look like anything development related.Exclusive to this new version is a guest character from Japanese cult studio G.rev, responsible for many shoot'em up classics like Border Down, Strania or Under Defeat. Vita owners will be able to select a new hero, Wilhelmine Muller, coming directly from the fantastic world of Under Defeat. Of course, the presence of Wilhelmine also means a brand new special weapon and new chronomes, available only on Vita!

Re: Sine Mora(Suda 51 shmup)
According to GameFaqs http://www.gamefaqs.com/vita/672895-sine-mora/data the Vita release is "primarily" targeted toward the US market. However the exclusive content - Wilhelmine Muller from Under Defeat - originates from a game that is "mostly" locked to the Japanese region. The exclusive content makes more sense for a Japanese release as that audience should be more familiar with it. Unless G.Rev is hinting at some development regarding Under Defeat HD in the PlayStation Universe beyond Japan's own region ... though that is most likely wishful thinking.Jeneki wrote:http://www.gaming-age.com/2012/06/sine- ... vita-soon/

PSN version due out in the near future.
Sine Mora, the Highly-Lauded Shmup from Digital Reality and Grasshoper Manufacture is Coming to PlayStation®Network!
Budapest, Hungary – June, 21 –Arguably one of the greatest shmups to come to this console generation, Sine Mora is looking to steal hearts again on PlayStation®Network. Sine Mora is the genre-defining creation of Digital Reality and Grasshopper Manufacture, and it's rife with laser spray, bullet-time madness, insane power-ups and epic boss battles. PSN junkies will soon be dodging and destroying in one of this year's greatest reviewed games.
"After having an extremely successful launch on Xbox LIVE Arcade and revealing the Vita version at E3 to much appraise, we're as excited as ever to bring the experience to yet another platform," said Balázs Horváth, director of publishing at Digital Reality. "More important than anything, we created something we love, and we know Sine Mora be loved yet again on PlayStation 3."
Co-developed by Grasshopper Manufacture and Digital Reality, Sine Mora is a dieselpunk shoot 'em up that provides a unique take on the genre, where time is the ultimate factor. Mixing classic shooter sensibilities with next-gen presentation, Sine Mora defines itself as a gorgeous shmup that appeals to both hardcore and casual gamers alike. Found on Xbox Live Arcade and coming soon to PlayStation®Vita, Sine Mora features over 60 combinations of planes, characters and time manipulation devices to complete every beautifully-crafted stage with scaling difficulty. All of this is set to an epic score of soaring heights composed by Akira Yamaoka (acclaimed for his works on Shadows of the Damned and the Silent Hill series) and with set pieces from boss battles designed by the legendary anime director Mahiro Maeda (Final Fantasy: Unlimited, The Animatrix segment "The Second Renaissance Parts I and II", and the animation sequence in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Vol. 1).

Also Fallout 3 is the highest-rated game in the entire Fallout series.
Let that one sink in too.
All the same this is still a game I want to play and see what it's like for myself (though I'd rather have Strania, but my older bro has the 360 and it's kind of counter-productive buying games on a system I rarely get to use).

Sine Mora is a stinker of a shmup. Just not fun. Does not flow at all. I think the reviewers are only making a big deal about the graphics which are not good IMO.

only design issue i have a quarrel with is the no rate of fire cap. that's really only an issue of you're enough of a faggot to use a turbo button. and if that's the case then whatever makes you feel good. those of you don't like random drops can go back and play ikaruga with your eyes closed. everything else is clearly a personal problem...sort of like being banned from the Cave-Stg forums.StarCreator wrote:15 years ago they wouldn't have been able to make impressive enough graphics to hide the glaring design issues.nash87 wrote:i don't understand all the hate towards this game. if it would have came out 15 years ago in actual arcades it would be a classic by now
if you don't like the game get out of the thread and go complain about something somewhere else. i'm sure region lock whining is still popular here. isn't the next touhou region locked omg.
so what triggers the piano item drop? i was going through a run when i saw a pickup item i've never seen before. was a little hesitant at first, grabbed it, then died due to it dropping a piano on me. the size of that piano is beyond grand. 10x the size of your ship, wtf

If you like this game you should reconsider your right to live. I am not bashing it to be cool. I am bashing it because it sucks. I could care less about region locking as I have Japanese / USA consoles.
Only design issue I have is it is Sodner X 3 : The Search for Dr. Moreau!

No it's not, if you say it's as bad as first Soldner-X then yes I may agree. But the second one? Dude that one was decent and didn't have as much issues as Sine Mora has. Plus Soldner-X2 HAS a better soundtrack by a long mile.Tokyo-J wrote:Only design issue I have is it is Sodner X 3 : The Search for Dr. Moreau!

Re: Sine Mora(Suda 51 shmup)
Bought this today. Despite its many flaws I'm enjoying story mode so far, arcade mode seems quite unforgiving though. It'll be a shame if this never gets patched, since just a few small changes could make a big improvement. I'd be fine with keeping random item drops in story mode, but I think it's unquestionably a bad idea in arcade/score attack. In a game in which survival depends so heavily on being powered up enough to destroy bosses in time, being underpowered through sheer bad luck or losing all of your weapons because you got hit at the edge of the screen seem like such basic design oversights, it's both surprising and disappointing to read that Reiker has no intention of changing things.

Actually, seeing as how you're incapable of shutting the fuck up about how much you hate it - which, y'know, we got first time around - I think it's a pretty safe presumption to make that that's exactly what you *are* doing.Tokyo-J wrote: If you like this game you should reconsider your right to live. I read the GamesTM review of this the other day, it was a pretty painful read but the funniest part was where they compare the game in question to other games of the same genre and put "Better than", "Worse than" or "As good as". For Sine Mora, they put "Better than Gradius V" and "As good as R-Type Final" haha.

I think Blazing Star is a superior game on inferior hardware. I think they should have their offices burned to the ground for suggesting Sine Mora is better than GV though, that's videogame blasphemy.
