when i connect my PAL Playstation 1 (modified) running a NTSC-J game through my XRGB2 to my Sony Bravia LCD via the PC input, the Sony has a message saying "unsupported signal adjust pc output". problem is xrgb2 output cant be changed. i already guess the PS is outputting a PAL 60Hz signal to the XRGB, my question is what signal is xrgb outputting and why is tv having a problem with it and what can be done to sort it out?
edit - my sony tv doesnt accept interlaced signals through the pc input (?) if this helps. the xrgb works with all my jap consoles through the pc input so i suspect its output isnt interlaced?
i suspect the problem is either a) due to interlacing or b) due to scaling?
modified PAL playstation , ntsc game and xrgb2 incompatible
Re: modified PAL playstation , ntsc game and xrgb2 incompatible
You're of course using RGB, right ?
Modified PAL PS1s can't output real NTSC, so you can't use composite or S-Video, but I don't see a problem on the RGB signal. Note that you won't be able to see the boot menu of the PS1, but once the actual game starts a picture should show up.

yeah, it does. the picture is fine, apart from a little error message in the corner "unsupported signal". cant get rid of it either.
edit - i am using a ps2 rgb cable to connect to xrgb. should work though right?
