In 2010.... Idiots.
This game is made by Platinum Games, not Sega. Sega is doing the PS3 port. And once again, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3EoEwgOiXjw

Looking at this comparison video, obviously one would want the 360 version if you have the console, but the ps3 version looks fine. Maybe I'm missing something here, but this looks like a long shot from ports of yore with missing animation, cropped screens, massive slow down, etc.

Best hair ever.

Anyway, looking forward to playing the demo at least, considering that God Hand is the only 3D action game I've been able to seriously get into in years.

Watching the videos of people playing the demo has got me interested. There is definitely a lot of over the top shit going on. too bad its so far away (for US).

thinking about it, its strange that this came out on PSN network first, and Microsoft is still doing a gold member only release on this. Anyone know how long its exclusive?

At least in the US Gold members usually have access to demos for a week before Silver hobos like myself get a shot at them, though I'm not sure if they've got the same system going in Japan.

yeah, my guess is I would have to wait a week.

But i've got my mind set so I did find another working download, but also realized that I haven't created 3 gold trial memberships yet on my j system. Thats the easiest way I figure. So I made a new account, and am downloading as we speak. Its downloading much faster this way as well.

I'm not sure when these rolled out but here's the US box art:

Japanese:

I prefer the Japanese one because it shows more of her moon.

Japanese box art better, but the US one (for a change) isn't bad. I played the demo -- kinda weird and cheesey, but on purpose. Will be weird looking forward to a current gen game.

most definitely. i really would prefer the ass shot though >_>

i also like how bayonetta's kind of librarian-looking. i always thought that was super-hot, and now we get a DMC game with her instead of my metro man dante. i'm probably going to have to fucking buy this game, even though i've not finished DMC3, nor bought DMC4 >_>

Hideki said in his latest interview that he isn't rich. I don't think he would be the kind to buy out Famitsu like this.

4 hookers wouldn't cost as much as it did to model that witches ass.

But it's not his doing. Famitsu scores are compromised between whoever is doing the article and whoever is publishing it. And in this case, that's Sega. Sega who also published 428, which received a 40/40 last year. 428's basically a sound novel, but instead of being your typical visual novel, it uses real characters instead. So I can't even view it as a visual novel. Just a cut up movie. I heard it was good, but it's impossible for games in that genre to get a 40/40 from any developer.

I had a very brief go at this at a Sega press event, but in three minutes as a genre novice I can't say more than in terms of feeling big and glossy and excessively action-packed it was bloody exciting! Very much a shoe and hair fetish game - no bad thing I guess, if that's what you like...

a new entry that hatimaki posted

"クリアタイムがクリアデータだと3時間24分"

He reports a log from 2ch of someone claiming that they've cleared it in 3 hours, 24 minutes.. supposedly. This scenario being real is not surprising at all, but hatimaki is a PS3 fanboy (only because Vesperia went to the PS3), so he always reports stuff that's always subtly degrading the 360 somehow.

I'm still looking forward to it. Not much else to say until it's arrived and I've messed with it.
