Sandlegs, I hear you. I hate every single Psikyo shump before Dragon Blaze.

That said, stupid game.

One thing that boils my blood is running sideways into bullets. i never get hit straight on. i am weaving through slow bullets and a fast one comes, i dodge it and run into a slower moving bullet. this is just a personal thing, i'm not trying to say that everyone should hate these games, it's just different strokes for different folks. i'm sure i love games that people hate too. take eight forces for example......just kidding.
Enemies in this game lead you.

You should have figured out how to deal with this thing since Varth.

It seems like it's random, I put a savestate at the beginning of the stage and tried different positions but I couldn't find any pattern to it. Hopefully I'm wrong though ;)

Well how about that, nearly 100K more than my play immediately previous. Lost two lives at Iron Casket (came up 1-4 this time) but managed to hang in a while longer.

First time seeing 1-5

Oddly, I have been using rank control on the game right along but it was still pretty hard for whatever reason, probably not using bomb / charge shot enough.

I have to say, when this game 'clicks' it's a lot more fun.

I've never been good at Psikyo games, but they're quite fun when I'm not playing the PS1 versions.

It indeed is random. Side positioning was important for Strikers 45 and Strikers 99 midbosses, in II it's completely random.

This was one of the first shooters I played some more than the others. Although I did not remember all safe spots etc, It was a bit rewarding to see that the enemy attacks I thought was extermely difficult back then, were not as challenging anymore. Either I've become a better player, my memory is failing me, or the original is more difficult than arcade. I hope it's alternative #1. 8)

lol at my ship. I used a lot of bombs in places I usually don't, and reached the 7th boss (where my runs end) with a way lower score than usual. But the ship is so strong the boss died before he got too dangerous and broke my previous record in the process. This was supposed to be a joke run.

Dude, the mosquito rocks! Although I'm sure most people hate it, because its speed is as bad as its power is good.
