i like the sanwa jlf for shmups, but i'm in the minority there. there's a few jlf vs. ls-32 threads on this board you might want to look at, but people generally prefer the ls-32's quicker return to center and shorter throw for shmups. the jlf is the hands down favorite for fighting games though.

Is this Xbox 360 Real Arcade Pro EX-SE joystick that will be sold through the USA based Amazon.com site?PsikyoPshumpPshooterP wrote:is the stick quiet? does it feel smooth or should i wait for the Xbox 360 Real Arcade Pro. EX-SE thats being release in october?
I found the answer to my own question: http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-Real-Arc ... 829&sr=8-2
Not a bad price for it considering that it uses Sanwa parts all the way with the joystick and push buttons. ^_~

Elixir beat me to it.
I just stumbled upon this myself a few mins ago and preordered. Shame that it took so long to be available in the US. I think it had a run at the beginning of the year and I missed it.
I should receive my non-SE version today that I ordered 2 months ago. It will hold me over till Oct

So whats the difference between the EX and the EX-SE, the SE uses seimitsu parts instead of Hori? Probably just to save money if someone was going to replace the Hori parts in the EX I reckon

Yep - vanilla EX uses a JLF and Hori buttons, while EX-SE uses an LS-32 and PS-14 snap-ins.EPS21 wrote:So whats the difference between the EX and the EX-SE, the SE uses seimitsu parts instead of Hori? Probably just to save money if someone was going to replace the Hori parts in the EX I reckon

I prefer Seimitsu buttons for everything, and the LS-32(-01) is pretty damn good for fighters as well. It's just a matter of preference and if it doesn't work out for you immediately, I expect there to be merely a short period of getting used to the LS-32, if you're coming from a JLF.
I do like a JLF with an octo gate for fighters though. I've yet to try a round main guide in my LS-32-01.
