As someone who did, it's fine.

I got mine for just over 100 shipped, and if I EMS'ed it from Play-Asia it would have cost probably 80 bucks anyway.

Anyway, this is pretty nifty! Glad to hear other people can get a hold of the game.

Cool! I had been avoiding the high e-bay prices because I was betting on the fact that Arika tends to do multiple production runs. I'm not going to miss out on it this time though!

It's not a re-release or a reprint. According to Mihara, Arika just had a small amount of leftover stock that they're dumping on Amazon Japan.

EDIT: How does it take more than three weeks for the game to get to Amazon's warehouse? I'm not sure if I buy this.

This is just what Mihara recently posted on his blog (he's the guy who made the game!). I guess they just chose 8/1 as the date to unload this stock, giving people in Japan some time to preorder it and quickly clear the stock out at full retail price when it's "released".

Did you notice play-asia.com and none of the other shops have mentioned they are getting this game restocked?

You won't be disappointed with that cool Cave danmaku title on the NDS platform. Tis a shame that it won't get a USA localization but would it sell at the suggested asking price of $49.99 to $59.99 USD though? Probably not unless some extra special promotional Ketsui goodies are included to justify paying more than usual for a new NDS game (considering that SquareEnix will be selling it's upcoming Space Invaders Extreme 2 stateside for a mere MSRP $19.99 USD anyways). It's all about pricing games that won't break the bank on day one of release, at least for the USA NDS user marketbase anyways. ^_~

If Ketsui DL got a US release, I think it would have to be like SIE and be priced at $20. Localization costs would be low, just translate some text, but I don't think Cave would license it out cheaply enough for a $20 price to be feasible. Even at $20, I don't know how well it would be accepted by the US audience. It's a shame. Either way, I'll be playing it in a month or two. I'd still buy a US release if they did one too.
