Rank system in Layer Section and Kingdom Grandprix?

Does anyone know how the rank system works in those two games?
I assume there is one in Kingdom Grandprix, since it's a Raizing game.

I've never noticed any Raizing-esque rank in Shippu Mahou Daisakusen, although I'd be amazed if it was fully rank-free. It's probably just a simpler, more intuitive rank, probably based mainly on survival time, maybe on positions in the races.
