so i got a psp a while ago, its a jap ceramic white fat model. all has been fine, however as i have updated the firmware each time i get a new game, some of the older games have either stopped working altogether, or freeze during play. other games are working fine.
issues
Dracula X Chronicles - doesnt start at all! umd looks flawless. only stopped working after i updated firmware to play Umihara Kuwase Portable.
Xexex - Part of the Konami Salamander Portable collection. Freezes on start up. Other games in collection play perfectly.
Sengoku Ace Episode 3 - Sengoku Cannon - Frequently freezes during play, have to restart.
Are these problems encountered by others, any way to get round them?
Sorry if this topic is covered elsewhere.
PSP Firmware issues
Hmm no, I've had an american PSP which originally came with firmware 1.5 back in 2005, and I've had no such problems, and I've upgraded it to about half of the major custom firmware releases since version 2.6 or so. (When 1.5 finally started to lose its relevance..)
It sounds like you may just need to clear your flash... Try going to the system menu and there is an option somewhere like "reset settings", or something like that. Try that
Also, are you running custom firmware? You may want to try that as well. Although you will need to run pandora's battery to downgrade & upgrade back to the newest custom firmware.

If more 2D people would go to the 2D Gaming Forum, there would be more people to talk about 2D games with other 2D fans on the tootie gaming forum. It's 2Dlicious. For real yall
