Davey (and, in fact, everyone on the team) wanted Thunder Dragon 2 to win, and who can blame him? From the two minutes I played of it, it seemed way more entertaining than the half an hour of Rayforce I've played.

If either of the other games had won, I would have tried. It's ironic that this was the first free weekend I had so far in the tournament, yet I quit playing on Tuesday or Wednesday. But I did play a lot of Heboris this weekend. 20G destroys me, but it's fun trying.

Anyway, the official scoreboard will go up when I get home from work. Thanks to dex for his scoreboard; I like having some independent verification.

Because I would either be getting up or preparing to go to work at that time. 4:00 AM GMT (Midnight my time) is much more convenient for me.

How do sikraiken and icarus get 1st and 2nd every week? I mean, clearly they're good at shmups, but they can't possibly have mastered all of them, can they?

They've mastered so many shmups before that their overall experience kicks in automatically. :P

I can't believe that I'm 4th overall, with such a bad performace this week.. Rayforce is such a brutal game, but at least I don't have to play it anymore.

In responce to the above posts.. you can learn games quite quickly, but you do have to go through so much before you can score high when playing a new game.
I have a full-time job here, which makes things even harder.. I'm sure a couple of people know what it is like.

First, I note that I only managed one ALL Clear this week. I wasn't joking when I said I had about fifty or more credits end at the tower in stage7.
Also, some minor landmarks I made note of while playing this week.

- 550k after stage1 boss;
- 1.2mil after the st2 cruiser;
- 1.47mil after st2 boss;
- 2mil sfter st3 boss;
- 4.4mil after st6 boss;

Finally, I have efficient learning techniques that accelerate development. The only thing that is stopping me usually is lack of consistency in play.

Same here, I had midterms all week and couldn't play much untill sat/sun. That definitely doesn't help your score

I just watched the replay on super-play a couple times. Timing is fairly lenient in the game and the bullet patterns are easy. The only thing you really have to know is when/where is the best place to do lock-ons, which you can get from the replay. After practicing each level a few times and then doing a few actual runs, it wasn't that difficult for me to get an ok score.
