110v cab > 240v cab

Post by xenepp »

I want to replace the JAMMA PSU in my cab since I just blew up my step down transformer and hit a snag.. is the Nanao MS9 dual voltage or would I need a replacment chassis?

If so.. I'll just get another step down :)

Just get another step down, at least 250w.

I actually just went digging through a box with the guts of a T2 cab in it.. I found a Hantarex US 250 PSU. It says it has a 135v monitor output, would this be too much for my Nanao?

If you're going to get another stepdown have a look here as well as maplins - http://www.beststuff.co.uk/voltage_conversion.htm

Awful site but I got a 300w one (Goldsource ST-300) from them that running my cabs fine. Cheaper than Maplins as well.

You can have a 10000w PSU if you want, the device your powering will just take what it needs. Its harmless having the wattage over what you need, its very dangerous having it lower than you need.

The wattage is 250 which is fine, I'm concerned about the voltage which is 135.

one of my AWSD power supplies has died , bloody wei-ya.

I am going to put a standard jamma psu in and lose JVS support, but thats not a big deal, the chassis is 110 only though so I think I'll run it on 110 and keep the stepdown.
