Random Bus Killing+ in Canada

Post by KindGrind »

This is "old news", as it happened like last week, but upon reading more details on the paper this morning I thought I'd post this here. One of the worst story I've heard in my life, honestly. Although I'm roughly 4,500 km from where it happened, I can't actually believe something like this ocurred here in Canada.

Yeah, I guess they should start serving food on long bus drives...

1 person got killed, world stops.
Amazing, considering there is alot of canabalism-glorifying media.......
What parts did he eat? where's the online internet tape.
Agreed it is a bit much, but with so much violence going on in this world is the eating of human flesh really that shocking? I could care less. He killed a man. That's what's so bad about it.
Please somebody investigate: what kind of a sentence did Mike tyson get for biting a man's ear of?
And as for the "Canada, what?" - argument. He wasn't even a real Canadian, now was he?
If I moved to Canada, would I be any less rude?
He Kindgrind, are you a skateboarder? What tricks can you do?

Mental illness is really terrifying. How about the guy in Texas that recently got out of his car, and calmly stomped his son to a pulp.

Apparently this guy in Canada showed no signs. How do you stop that?

In the US it doesn't matter how many signs you show, they turn you loose anyway.

Edit: ^^^^^^ This is basically what I meant.

Think about it: Even in a remarkably safe countries like Germany or Austria we have dick-eating cannibals and people keeping half their family locked in the basement as sex slaves. Unlike more structuraly crime like gang violence, people going mental doesn´t know any borders.

I guess the only thing we can do against stuff like this is keeping our eyes peeled when others send signals of desperation or strange behaviour.

I used to skate(rollerblade) a lot years ago, but when I graduated and had to work for real, I couldn't randomly turn up at the job with bruises and a cast. Also, the fear of getting hurt quite bad -voice of reason- kicked in at some point.

As I said in another thread, there is a lot more mental ilness in the world than we imagine. It just seemed so random and intense that I had to mention it.

Actually I think people that have no mental illness whatsoever are a dying species but that's only due to society and the so called civilization that's not civilized at all.

Yes, but animals kill out of fear, territorial reasons, hunger or competition. I don't see how the livelihood of the nutjob descibed above was threatened by that fellow human being.

Especially when these nuts are unprovoked and go for totally random people. It takes all kinds of people to build a world! (liberal translation of a French expression) :)

People also kill out of fear, scientists like to call it insanity or stuff like that, sometimes for revenge, anger or just money.
We're animals after all!

I can't think of too many animals who decapitate their prey and parade their heads around in a festive manner.... except maybe dolphins.

You've never had a dog drop a dead rabbit or mouse or whatever on your doorstep?

(Mine never did that but y'know)

A man accused of stabbing, beheading and cannibalizing another man on a Greyhound bus in Canada
^Tasty Geeza!

But on a more serious note, random killings like this are scary.

Yeah you seem to have the market cornered on that at the mo  :D

The Vanishing film (original) was set in Holland or Belgium - not sure? Somehow I think it must have been based on real events. Waking up in a coffin isn't a nice way to go. Now we seem to have Madeline sighted in those parts. Europe is doing well in keeping up with USA & Canada.
