I hope you guys are all doing all right after the floods last night! I know I had fun getting home.

I was without power for 2 days .. fun times.

Same here. Got a workout carrying my bike down 30 flights of stairs. Was I ever happy that the elevators were working again when I got back home. Sounds like no one drowned, though, so you know... that's good.

The other thing is tho, I don't think we'll be even close to as good as you guys are?? Reading here you guys are playing for highscore in most games/.. I'm still working on 1cc's Maybe it'll be nice to laugh at noobs?? lols.

Naaah, we're not all pros or anything. I'm pretty terrible. I've only 1CCed like... three games, ever, and I play too many other games and don't practice shmups hardcore. Now and then I get back into it for a while, pick a game to work on, and come to a meet or two. But the time I 1CCed Espgaluda at jonny5's place was awesome. You know, the real arcade experience, where people are watching you and cheering you on (or trying to psych you out), and then when you finally actually beat the game you get to beam with pride at actual real people, and maybe someone congratulates you with a beer. Then Khoa sits down and crushes your score before he's done the second stage. That's what it's all about.

Apparently you can change car colours in Outrun 2 by holding the brake down while hitting gear shift up/down. I found this out accidentally while I happened to be looking up to see what the resolution of the arcade version is (still haven't found that).

It's 4:3 right? Probably 480p or else 240p. Easy enough to tell just by looking at it.

Outrun 2 is apparently 640x480 but in Outrun 2SP it was upped to 800x480.

Kind of pointless if they are running in a cab with a VGA(640X480) monitor; might have been for the huge SP DX cabs. The PC version can be run at whatever res you want, even up to 1080p.
