Good to see you pop in every now and again, PCEFX.PC Engine Fan X! wrote: For caincan,
You gotta try the all-English patch of the sole PC-FX shmup title of Chōshin Heiki Zeroigar -- it's awesome that even the anime cut scenes have added English text! Too bad that NEC decided not to sell the PC-FX console in the USA through it's American subsidairy, Turbo Technologies Incorporated (TTI), as American software developers and publishers would've released some cool FMV-based game titles like the classic Laserdisc based Dragon's Lair 1 & 2 + Space Ace, etc. (from developer/publisher Digital Leisure) on it for sure. TTI back in January of 1994 announced that they weren't going to be selling any more new gaming hardware/software (including the newfangled 32-bit powered PC-FX console stateside) thus having the American speciality video game retailers (i.e. -- Babbage's, Funcoland, Software Etc., Electronic's Boutique, etc.) sell their remaining brand new Turbo-Grafx-16 & Turbo Duo hardware & software on clearance -- that was the best time to get them on the cheap or "mere pennies on the dollar" if you will. Zeroigar even has a built-in demo mode that's hidden away as well. How cool is that?
An obligatory PC-FX mouse and a PC-FX Back-Up Unit are absolutely necessary with a PC-FX console also -- be sure to pick them both up. You'll be glad you did so.
Here's the shmup thread about the all-English Zeroigar patch released back in 2015: https://shmups.system11.org/viewtopic.p ... igar+patch

I can't say that I've ever seen someone collect this series...guigui wrote: On topic "awesome stuff you've just bought", I felt a little younger last month when my stupid collection of Gundam games on the JP SS reached a number of games that actually overtook my age

If by "run you" you mean "cost you", I got it at 35€ on the Nintendo Age forum about 2 years ago.GaijinPunch wrote:Crazy that I remember that. Out of curiosity, what did the jewel case version of the third game run you?
Yeah it's wild there. I don't have as much interest these days or I'd scrape everything and save the data. I did put a bunch of old flyers up... they all went for substantially more than I thought but I believe only b/c a couple of people duked it out. Got a nice amount for my Dreamcast stash, surprisingly. The Saturn ones fetched about the same (with much fewer flyers) but it was a higher ratio of quality.guigui wrote: Lately on Yahoo Japan, there has been :
* a copy of Shutsudou Miniskirt Police standard version (rare version of a game with girls dressed as sexy cop !). Went in the $1000 range.
* a copy of Denpa Shounenteki Game 2 in very bad condition : went in the $7000 range. Crazy, not sure if this was a real bid though.
Who knows how Gundam 3 jewel would hold compared to that ?

And yeah, those Ikea cases are perfect for stuff like that, I use one for my Gunpla stuff.
