Given what Sega has become I wouldn't want to be making shitty games like them either. *shrugs*

Also:
I wish Sega had been killed.
As opposed to the shitty zombie we have lumbering around today.

Um... maybe if it was the mid 90s-early 2002.

These days I wish more than anything that Sega had just died with the Dreamcast.

Mario Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion and Zelda Wand of Gamelon say hi. (I know the last one not made by them, but they let it happen. And the first two didn't precisely set the world on fire.)

Miyamoto was in a war. He saw friends make one wrong step and get blast processed to miracle world. He work up every day in the foxcubicle, not knowing if it'd be the day he got Sega or the day Sega got him.

Now they've got a treaty. He's supposed to play nice; sure, he can do that. But damned if he'll let his kids grow up like those finger-wagging devils.

IMO Miyamoto jumped the shark sometime last year, when he slammed Sega's work on F-Zero GX, one of the best games the Gamecube had to offer...

Not actually made by Nintendo. Same with all of the CD-I abominations.

Sega killed themselves, those idiots. They had all the (best) cards litteraly. And they managed to fukk it all up. I hate them for that. But I still love their games and their style. Any Sega fanboy who claims another company killed Sega needs to wake up. Sega has always been highly respected and feared by all other companies. Sega didn't care and kamikazed themselves. They had so damn much going for them: arcade games and hardware, home console games and hardware and all were top quality, but amazingly they shot themselves.

sega actually became a healthy company again after becoming 3rd party, then the sammy merger.

I like old sega also but that never made them profitable... now they are a major publisher and on the top ten list cash flow wise. Sad but true. Making all those awesome games you recall made them no money unfortunately :-( Maybe the Genesis era, but even still they were a flop in japan for alot of their consoles.
These days I wish more than anything that Sega had just died with the Dreamcast.
wait... so you didn't like:

HOTD3
HOTD4
Panzer Orta
JSRF
Virtua Figher 4
Virtua Fighter 5
After Burner Climax
OutRun 2
OutRun SP
Super Gunstar Heroes Advance
Macross (PS2)

plus all those SEGA AGES discs coming out now, not to mention the fact they've published games, like the new Fist of the North Star fighter.

AM2 has never lost their way and I'm very happy to have them around to this day.

Come on.... After Burner Climax, VF5, and Outrun 2 and SP are pure old school Sega goodness if nothing else.
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

That's what I mean! How can you not make money when you have the best arcade/home software and hardware? Then you are a fukk up!
It bothers me alot. Atari/Commodore died (several times?) and rightfully so, because everything they touch is crap. Can somebody who can time travel kill some Sega execs 20 years ago and maybe new execs will have less heads shuffed up their arses!

Don't look back.

I saw that quote then, and all I'll say is this; it's less the fact it was made by Sega and more the fact that F-Zero seems to be unpopular. That might be why we never got F-Zero Climax.

I think F-Zero is dead. I don't want it to be, but it might.

Nintendo gamers just want to play mario (kart) and zelda, they don't care about the perhaps best racing game ever made. I'm still on the look out for a gc component cable and a gc and wave bird and a memeory card and a f-zero GX game. It rules.
I too also don't think we'll see a f-zero game for some time to come (it can't be topped) or maybe they will throw it into another direction, like make some kind of adventure game out of it.

I thought Sega killed themselves when they killed off Dreamcast game sales.

They they did this by leaving a backdoor open to play backups with no modification.

@Strider

Aside from JSRF (which was originally a Dreamcast game), not really.

Edit:
Oh, I did really like GunValkyire and TJ&EIII as well. But once again... both of those were originally being made when Sega was a 1st party.

it got worse. self booting discs, with multiple games. my friends had stacks.

apparently the backdoor was for the devs. blame the execs, but sega's demise might have been engineering's fault.

Like anything it can be used for good or bad. At its best it allows you to play imports.

Those discs with multiple games usually have really crappy downsampled music, but the pirates don't care about that.

Oh, I'm sorry I forget about all the brilliant serious racing games that have appeared on Nintendo consoles over the years..........

yeah, that's what I thought. But let's not divert the focus to Nintendo. More reason for Sega not to fail if their competitor has no serious racing games (or fighting games for that matter)
Sega, I die you with my fist.
I currently have Sega Tetris Collection ps2 on the way, yipee!
Let's leave piracy out of this. Sony had way more (if you could even call it) % losses through piracy and they survived!

There is very little depth to any Sega game. The last one I liked was probably Fzero GX or SMB.
This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.
