RAM Cart, Astra Superstars and Waku Waku 7

Do I NEED a ram cart to play these 2 games? Will they play without it?

I never did notice any notable difference with or without ram on Astra Superstars

Waku Waku 7 requires the 1-Meg RAM cart (it will also work with the 4-Meg). Astra Super Stars is optimized to run on bare system memory, the 1-Meg cart or the 4-Meg cart (4-Meg cart offering the best results).

Meaning... it does run without the ram cart, although it looks better with it?

iirc. astra superstars loadtimes cut signifigantly with the 4mb cart loaded. if you don't have one already, its well worth it to pick one up. if you're going to be playing astra a lot, its a waste of time to play it without one imho. just get xmvsf or something.

ww7, get it on mvs. really. also really wish i still had my old cart. after having that cart, i couldn't really tolerate the saturn version.

There's also, if memory serves, a "Sunsoft Collection" coming out for PS2 that has Galaxy Fight and Waku Waku 7 on it (no Astra though), so hopefully that one will turn out better than the Saturn version did...
