Adapters & Converters

Post by doodude »

With what seems to be the ever changing face of Joystick adapters, what is the best joystick to USB adapters available now?

Ive got a BOOM USB to PS2/N64 that works great.
I have a USB PC Magic Box for SS, PS2, DC that sucks.
My SNES Super Smart Joy to USB is perfect

Are there recommendations for other converters out there?
Id like to find a fully functional DC Joystick to USB &/or PSX/2 adapter.
Is there a newer or better version of PS2 to USB than this?

My DC-Stick works great with the TRIO Linker Plus.

The newer version (II) is in stock at play-asia or directly at hkems.com.

Both adapters mentioned sound good but Im gonna give the trio linker a shot since it claims to work with DC sticks too.

I actually have a Total Control Plus that works just fine.

However, Im looking for a DC to USB / PC adapter for emulation play...

Glad to hear all is well.

No rush on the list so anytime is good...

I picked up a nice little converter at Wally World a week ago. It's X-Box, PS2, and GC to USB. I can't think of the name, but it's a little white box.

$4. Clearance aisle. It was six bucks a few weeks ago and I passed. FWIW, I couldn't detect any lag.

Edit: Here we go...

And would one of them be an Agetech DC arcade stick? Mighty fine piece of arcade stick equipment btw from the likes of Ascii/Agetech. ^_~

I found one of these at my local Wally World in, as you suggested, the clearance isle altho' they werent nearly ready enuf to sell it at $8.

I got one anyway since I have a Pelican Tournament Stick for GC & no GC to hook it to.
I got the stick in the 1st place cuz Ive been planning to customize it...

Good stuff. How well does the GC segment work? I've only been able to try the X-Box and PS2 ports.

Actually, I havent had time to even open the package yet.

I tried my GC stick on my Trio Linker Plus & got no response except the mode light came on.
So at this point I dont know if the stick is capable of a response.
Since I dont own an Xbox & you say the PS2 works & until I can get the GC stick to work Ill probably just not even open the plastic packaging & just put it away for...................well, I dunno!? :?

My Trio Linker worked fine with the ordinary GC-pad, even with rumble.
However, I was only using the analog sticks.
Did you have a look for the latest software/drivers at hkems.com?
