Er, I think I have a 20 year in the making school reunion on the 26th... :(

Weighing up, I'd probably have to attend that instead, but I'd love the meet to be arranged for a different day.

You wankers'll probably all outvote me though eh? 8)

Aah so LUN you're coming to the NeoEmpire event :D , good!
Its on 26th-27th July but the minimeet thread header is saying June....is this a typo?

I assume we're talking about July for the minimeet.
I'm getting ROM to check my Eurostar Brussels tickets to see if they coincide....

Yes DEL - I made a typo! Well Spotted.

THE DATE BEING AGREED IS 26th/27th JULY!

SO - Skykid, does that free you from the reunion?

Everybody still happy with those dates?

So might you be off in Brussels then DEL?

The tourney will distract me only for the whole day of sunday, so from friday afternoon to saturday I should be able to show up at the Casino :D
I was going to tell DEL about this so imagine my surprise when reading that you were planning something for the same weekend :P
Does this mean you'll be entering the 3S tournament? If so, one little piece of advice for you; Neo Empire events can overrun quite badly, so the expected 9pm finish could well be somewhat later. If you're booking in to a cheap London hostel for the evening I'd recommend finding one without a curfew or you may find yourself missing the end of the event.

Btw, is it alright that the topic has the word "minieet" in its title?

No good for me unfortunatley :?

I'll come down on the 27th - but Sunday last time was a bit devoid of people.

I'll be attending the Neo Empire event on that weekend, but I'll definitely try and make it down to Casino at some point over the two days as I haven't been down there in ages.

So... anybody bringing a Daifukkatsu PCB?

:D I think I'll probably be attending, but I reckon we need a solid plan for some games as there's nothing much in there at the moment. If we can arrange for a definite supergun (or 2!) , tv and a few boards we can have a nice eet. I should be able to bring either a nice mame capable laptop, a mushi futari or a ketsui pcb.

Awesome. Manage ^that^ and I'll bring a 14" TV (yes, from Cambridge on the train!!!)

I think Skykid mentioned carting Guwange from wherever he hails.

Damn, looks like you're gonna miss the eet ever.
Unless the dates get rearranged.......

EDIT:- I've checked up and I'm also available on July 19th-20th weekend. So 19th-20th or 26th-27th July, but not free after that until 9th-10th August.

If we could change to 19-20th that'd be better for me (and probably better for the guys attending the fighters tourney on Saturday.)

Thanks for the advice mullet! This time I'm probably going for a real hotel, and anyway it depends on the other italian players too.
Yes, I'm entering the 3rd Strike tourney, it's the only beat'em up I play and I've been a lot into it lately. I'll be back into shmups sooner or later, but my "problem" it's always the same: when I'm concentrated on something I can barely touch any other game

Anyway, if you guys feel more comfortable with other dates feel free to change. I'll just be glad to see (and see again) some of you on 25th/26th July when I'll be in London almost for sure. DEL, since you're free anyway I'm looking forward to meeting at least you, but of course the more the better ^_^

Oh, I almost forgot: Jck is waiting for a confirmation about his days off work, so he's probably going to join us!

Masamune: see you there on sunday!

Perhaps we should change the date then? I'm flexible all month in July...

If we do move it I'm sure a few of us will all meet at Battle Of Destiny on 26th/27th anyway, to meet LUN and some of the guys committed to being there all weekend.

19th and 20th then? Who's up for that?

So far it seems me, DEL, and Skykid can do that weekend. The rest of you?

Since both HD Remix and Street Fighter IV  are confirmed to be appearing at Battle of Destiny I'm definitely not going to be coming if it's on the 26th/27th. 19th/20th would be perfect though.

LUN & Jck, Kati-sama (!), Canoro (a new player interested in shmups) and some other beat-em up guys confirmed, we'll be in London from 25th to 28th. Well, let's say that we'll be available from friday night to saturday night, because sunday it's tourney-time and monday it's all for the return trip.
If anyone wants to meet us at Casino/Trocadero/around the city we'll be glad to meet you guys as usual! :D

Well, looks like LUNardi and co are around for a little while around BOD, so maybe we could slip off to Casino at some point before BOD really gets going.

As for the Minimeet... sorry... minieet, lets go for 19th - 20th. Speak now if that's a problem!

That weekend sounds good to me, i'll be there just for the Saturday though. If we can confirm a definite supergun and tv I'll bring a Mushi Futari board.

Smraedis: I recommend www.hostelworld.com for cheap accomodation in London. If you want a proper hotel you could got for the one recommended by Del in a previous shmupmeet thread, it's a bit far from the arcade unfortunately. If you want somewhere close you could try the Langland hotel which is 3 minutes walk from the Casino and a reasonable £50 per night. It's not for light sleepers though; it's really noisy and the heating tends to be turned up rather high.
