To be honest, if I had the spare cash I'd likely blow it on boards too. It was the minimalistic advice of a pauper. :)

In other news, there may have been a breakthrough in domestic negotiations over buying a cab. Unfortunately, it won't be until we move somewhere large enough to house it (outside of the living room). Watch this space...

How was the trocadero?

Troc was great, as far as a place filled with kids, tourists, security guards and bright lights can be. They had stools though - take note Casino!

RGC - a cab fits nicely where an oven, fridge or freezer goes - perhaps you could get rid of one of those? I think that suggestion would go down well...

No shmups for a week for me, as my wrist is throbbing like crazy today, and the p[ain of using a mouse goes way beyond my elbow!

Had a great time this weekend, really enjoyed meeting everyone and seeing lots of different playstyles, I feel like I play too safe now :D
Am happy to have got a few ALLs on Mushi Original, getting 39 and then 40 million somehow.
Futari seems like a great game too, shame that I only got one play at it, which was straight after I walked in, from my 8 hour trip down to the place.

Congrats to Skykid for beating Mushi, I think everyone hates the final boss pattern too, Taylor for beating Progear, I'm happy you got it in the end :) spadgy for almost clearing Progear, and for learning Raiden Fighters Jet so quickly! and to DEL, for having to put up with all the bad luck in Ibara.

And to Masamune, high scores are meant to be beaten, and GG doesn't have a VS ranking or anything like that..
The Unknown? I'm the one who knows!
My shmup achievements | and my Superplays!

Well, it was nice to meet some fellow shmuppers on Saturday, though I couldn't make it Sunday as my leg was killing me (I always put all of my weight on it when playing Mushi).

It was also nice to watch Smraedis knock me off the top of the Original scoreboard. Someone really needs to take a can of WD40 to the C buttons on that machine.

Well, there's plenty of takeaway restaurants nearby, so I guess the oven could go...(right!) Actually, I started thinking seriously about the garden shed - too much risk of damp-damage though. :(

depends on how awesome your garden shed is.

If its got cement base and is water tight and has eletricity going to it I dont see it being a problem.

I was just thinking after my last post how good a Candy Cab Shed would be...

Sorry I couldn't make it down on Sunday... I really need to stop going to bed at 6am

Anyway, thanks to mulletgeezer for Futari and the 3rd Strike beating  , Skykid for Guwange and spadgy for the supergun. It was great to meet and discuss bullet avoidance with you folks, both old and new.

 ^

Update: So BoD is about to kick off, I just dropped Chunkis and Justin Wong off in Wembley. Mister Wong banged up the UK players pretty hard on Third Strike tonight - 22 wins before Ryan Hart eventually took him off on his second attempt.

Typically, I reached loop 2-2 straight away on Ibara tonight, in front of LUNardei, Last True Jck and Ravid.
Mr Hong Kong made an appearance (after a 3 month break) and guys continue to take a fancy to cristina.
Further Update: A nine strong Italian Team took on a 3 strong Swedish team on Third Strike tonight at the Troc after 1st day of BoD. The top three Italian players edged it.
Further Update: Ryan Hart got beaten by a 14yr old, but picked up the flight to USA prize anyway.

I'll start a Team Royale thread in the shmups chat section later on. For the time being, here's my dodgy attempt at a banner:

Image

Hey, at least it contains an actual image of Casino, Goodge St. :P

Of course, anyone else can provide a better banner, if they feel so inclined.
