Finished Xexex....

Post by Dylan1CC »

....after a shameful amount of credits on the last stage (those darn green crab walkers took forever to beat) What happened at the end? A fairy alien girl was living in the force pod....or was that actually Elaine transforming? And that renews the planet somehow? And what was the villian's name? Any links to translations of the voice cinemas (which I assume contain some mighty funny dialogue) would also be appreciated.

Awesome game all around. Shame though that Hamster never released the PS2 port.

Yeah, but it guess it got canned since Konami stuck the game in the Salamander Portable PSP compilation.

@Dylan

Yeah, the force pod is actually the "spirit" of planet E-Square. The villain's name is Klaus Pachel Bell.

This is a very poetic ending.
And the SD-characters parade is great !

Xexex is FREAKIN' HARD. I don't know how anyone can 1CC it, but apparently it's possible. I just suck at it. Awesome graphics & music, though, & it has a cool/creepy atmosphere about it.

I know, I love the sheer variety of environments from the biomechanical gumball stage, the waterfall level with the sweet oriental art style dragon, the stage with wireframe backgrounds, I could go on.

edit: Last night I finally checked out the Goemon 2 Xexex minigame on youtube. I was amazed at how great it looked. Wonder if they didn't go all out and try for a full port, I'm curious as to how well the SNES could have handled some of the other levels.
