That sucks. You were so into that game too.

At least they have another shooter there to take its place. Things could be worse.

I thought Daniel said your parents owned that arcade or was it a food place nearby?

Yeah it's frustrating me too...and I don't think the scores are saving on Raiden Fighters Jet either so there's no competition...I never got my chance to take on your score FEL! And with the new semester just starting I have all the time in the world again...Oh well. You mentioned knowing the arcade owner once? How about getting him to hook it up with Mushi Futari once they decide to get rid of Raiden?! :D

This is like the fourth or fifth time they have bought back either Raiden Fighters 1,2, or JET in the past few years.

IIRC the last time they had Raiden Fighters 2 it was placed next to one of those drum games.

Wait, there's an SF arcade with decent shooters in it?! Jesus Christ how could I not have known about this after moving here... location/game list?
I most definitely hate your favorite shooter.
For the sake of our own sanity, let's not even talk about Psikyo, Battle Garegga, or DDP DOJ with each other.

If you're mobile, a San Rafael arcade also has some shmups, noted here (from the Shmup machine locations list).

Sadly, I am vehicle-less, so Marin county's a bit difficult to reach. But if there's one near SF State, that's literally a five minute walk from where I live.

FIVE MINUTE WALK TO HAVE BEEN PLAYING ESPGALUDA 2 ARGHGHGHGH

The arcade is actually on the SFSU campus, downstairs in the student center. Unfortunately Raiden Fighters 2 is the only shmup they have at the moment but I'm hoping it will be replaced by something better soon (next semester...). They also have tons of fighting games as well as a handful of novelty games like guitarfreaks and drummania(?) if you're interested in those. The fighting game community there seems pretty solid to me.
