I still think there is nothing sexier than either an Egret II or Egret III. Either of those rate as my all-time favourite cabinets ever.

I only wish I had the cash to get a hold of one. :(

Go figure- my egret, I changed the angle of the monitor, PLUS raised it so it would play like and american cab.
It's my favorite cab, I hope it's not to blasphemous.

Yeah, I had that huge monitor, bot no space in my house so I had to make a cab that could collapse (the control panel unlocks and pushes in)- plus one that could come apart (it breaks down into a couple peices so I can take it into, say, a basement- the monitor itself barely fits through doorways).

it does look really handy, you should make a bezel and hide the wiring a little better tho and it would look great too :) nice job anyways.

I should make a bezel. Those wires have to scrunch up when you push in the conrol panel. I spent a lot of time on it, but still looks kind of trashy. Works and feels good, though.
Here's some more pics.

Seems to be an inherent problem with AWSD's neither of my 2 like Cave boards or CPS3 ( ther are a few posts on the subject over the various sitesbut I don't think anyone found a fix ) My AWSD's have different Chassis types and still same problem on either..... Wonder how the Egret 3 cabs ( if they were available ) would handle it, as they are essentially re-badged Awaves.......

Forced me to go out and get an Egret 2 :D

man i am so jealous.....

i would kill for just one candy cab....you bastards with 3 and 4 in your basements.....lolz

i am hoping to get one this year....i am in a better financial situation now so im saving my pennies.....

only thing that sux is im a cave nut and pretty much any of the PCB's i want are gonna be almost as much if not more than the cab itself...lolz

but i highly doubt the g/f will let me put it in the bedroom.....im lucky she will even let me put it in the livingroom....we live in a 900 square foot apartment.....

thankfully she understands how important these games are to me.....i still get the eye roll when i get all excited about a new game or something but hey......thats ok

I need to get around to doing this. It would be so awesome to play BWR on my cab.(even better if it had a freaking tate option :? )

Also, bat-tops?

There are so many doujins I'd love to play in my cab that lack a tate option. Hitoga Happa is the only one I know of that does.
Ozymandiaz1260 wrote:Also, bat-tops?
Haha! But these are special bat-tops. T-Stiks with light-action switches, mounted on under-panel spacers to make them shorter. I like them a lot :D

How much would a candy cab cost (egret II)
And could you use Ketsui/Mushihimesama with it?
And any links?

Candy cabinets will support both Ketsui and Mushi. You will need the monitor in the vertical position though.

Just do a search on Matsu on these forums if your in the USA. Mr Megalo supplies to UK and Europe.
This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.
