Baseball Stars 2 and Neo Turf Masters are the only ones I play with any frequency. NBA Jam is still a good game, though, and Speedball 2 would have made an awesome arcade game.

Cosmic Smash is sweet too, but I'm not sure if it can really be considered a sports game...

Cosmic Smash is pretty much a futuristic version of Squash, I'd say that qualifies it as a sports game

I'll have to chime in that Neo Turf Masters is a great game of arcade golf.
Tiger Woods 06 gets frequent play by me as well. Football...? As long as its Madden(Sega Genesis versions are cool).

I also love windjammers, battle flipshot and bangbead, and hav to say that Crazy Power Disc looks amazing! It looks like a lot of fun.

Ugh. I have just *the worst* memories of this game, not because the game is necessarily bad in and of itself, but because of the way it happened to come into my life at the local arcade.

This particular arcade hardly *ever* got new machines in, and when I say that, I mean that V'Ball was the only new machine at this arcade for at *least* two solid years. Not only that, but it was placed in a former Gauntlet cabinet, providing for the most crowded experience ever, coupled with what *had* to be the worst joysticks and buttons ever conceived for any machine, ever.

Not that any of those are the game's fault, but oh man...I just can't separate the two of them, *and* the fact that this machine was the "new" game during years when so many, many great games could have been making the arcade so much more money. Games that I'd read about, but never be able to play.

Maybe not, but some of EA games did have arcade versions, oddly enough. I'm not sure if Madden is one of them, but I know for sure that there is a PGA Tour Golf machine. They appear mostly in sports bars.

It wasn't actually released in the arcade, but NHL Hitz was a pretty awesome game.
