Holy goddamn. The first part of this run was pretty bad, and then I got almost 2000 hits on 1-5. @_@ That's the first time I've done a good 1-5 chain in a real run, I think, though I dropped it about 3/4 through. Also did some somewhat decent chaining in 2-1 and 2-2, which was unexpected. Game over to the 2-3 boss' cheese graters.

Here's the .inp, for shmupmame 2.2... will probably also stick this on YouTube later. Next target is 500m, then.

Thanks! Yes, I was incredibly nervous during 1-5 and onwards, especially past the beehive section; lost my focus and dropped the chain because of it. Hopefully it won't happen next time. I still need to improve my consistency with chaining a lot before I can get scores like you guys at the top, though.

I've recorded a replay as previously promised. It came with a new high. :)

This run had a lot of things done right (scoring in 1-2, most boss fights, most of 1-3 and 1-4, some of the maneuvers in 1-5) and a lot of things done wrong (particularly, pretty much every death there was stupid and avoidable). But it beats my previous high score and ends up at about the same place in the game, so I guess it's all good. Am I the only B-S player on the board or something? I've noticed that so far I have the highest score and hit count for an *-S type so far.

I included the nvram file just in case. The emulator is ShmupMAME v2.2.
