Anyone know anything about this one? This seems to be his website but it doesn't mention gigawing at all. Way to pricy for me anyways though...

That R-Type video arrived today (the one with the foil cover).
The player is EZN and the game is a 2.4mil 2-ALL. Funnily enough, I've seen it before, as I picked up a video of it off Hameko years ago. Good stuff though.

Yeah, 1920x1200 @ 21 inches laptop and giant blocks of text will do that to me :o It's really the omission of the Konami Original Game GBV that threw me off; I imagine it might be helpful to put in the name of the series (Konami Original Game GBV)...well, anyway, thanks!

i dont think this was an appreciate dvd?
ill have to double check, but the PS2 bundled one is appreciate and the loose DVD is the exact same capture..
A few Psy DVD questions.

By loose, do you mean the DVD came on it's own, just in a slip case with no packaging?

Next - do all JPN PS2 Pysvariar 2's come with the DVD?

Finally, which JPN Psyvariar PS2 came with a DVD? Complete, Revision or Medium?

1 - uuh no its a proper release in a regular DVD case just like all the other appreciate releases.

2 - yes i think so

3 - its bundled with complete version, im not sure if there are two different releases, one with and one without..

Thanks Sven666 - you are a diamond! With regard to question 1 I only asked as I spotted the Psy 2 DVD unboxed on that quaint little eBay site. Probably just hold off and get the full PS2 kit though...

Ahh! jpj - an arrow through my heart! Nevermind - I appreciate the fact you would have given it to me!

And sven - I went to my local import store and discovered the same thing... Shame they only had the standard JPN Complete, Medium and Revision....

Still - I got Ibara PS2 for £20! Well - I traded in some modern crap and paid the £20 left over...

Complete Special Standard - just the game (red cover)
Complete Special Capture - comes with Psy Appreciate DVD (green cover)
Complete Special Sound - comes with the soundtrack (blue cover)

Capture appears to be the harder of the three to find.

Ah yes, the elusive green-colored cover jacket version of Psyvariar Complete - Capture Box version. I managed to snag a new copy off of eBay for a mere $31.00 USD some time back. Not a bad price for it.

After watching the cool Reverse Babel's professionally produced Psyvariar Appreciate DVD Vol. 1 many times over...it only whetted my appetite to see if I could get the original Taito G-Card of either Psyvariar Medium Unit or the latter & better release of Psyvariar Revision. Yep, the Taito G-Card version of Psy-R is the definitive one to own/get. Success did their homework right this time around with the arcade release of Psy-R. ^_~

This Psyvariar Appreciate DVD Vol. 1 disc has both yoko and tate modes for both Superplays of Psy-MU and Psy-R. Very well done IMO. Why can't some of the current shmup Superplay DVDs display in both yoko and tate like this particular Psy Appreciate DVD can? Must be the extra troublesome work to pull it off successfully and properly. ^_~

I like how the Taito G-Card of Psy-R does save such Superplays of individual stages directly to the cartridge itself for posterity (provided that you don't delete them from the Operator's Menu screen). Awesome stuff indeed. ^_~

Yes:

服部 aka Hattori (BTR) - 21,060,980

That's the world record. It also shows the player's hands in the top left corner. Excellent stuff!

Could somebody explain the difference between the Raiden III The Flash Desire INH DVD (DVD+CD+Book) and the Raiden III omake INH DVD release? I have the former, but wonder what I'm missing.

Also, how did The Flash Desire come packaged? I have a second hand copy, and I can't see the book fitting in the DVD case - were they just held together by a plastic seal?
