I'll play Third Strike most of the time, that's the feeling at the moment ^_^
I'd like to face you of course. But about SFII... Well, it's just too old for me

The game is there anyway. Dunno if it's SFII turbo/x something or Hyper SFII. You can check on some website anyway!

3rd strike's cab is awesome, don't worry. It's a huge sit-down cab, or whatever they're called, and the panel is full Sanwa. Simply perfect!

Yep, we had a complete overhaul on Fighter cab sticks, they are now either Sanwa's or the slightly inferior sanwa-type sticks. The range of Fighter titles in the arcade is very large.

Does a website specifically for Casino exist? If it does it's alluding me! It would be nice to check what's there when I can't remember (which reminds me - last night - I was a panalist on some games discussion TV show being filmed and they were bigging up the Trocedero - I natuarlly defended Casino, mentioning where it can be found! Fuck know's when it's broadcast. Only on a Sky channel.

I saw a very angry shmuper at Casino yesterday calling Progear a stupid fuckin' c*nt. Was that any of you? I hope so!

spadgy - Yes there is a London site for Goodge St/Casino Arcade: http://www.neoempire.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2723
Masamune and I are the Mods for the shoot'em up section.

Glad to hear you mentioned Goodge on that show, although I've gotta admit that the hidden location is a good thing ->You don't get the tourists whooping and hollering or the trouble seeking fraggles that cause nonstop trouble at the Troc.

The Progear character wasn't one of us.

Are there a lot of people in this game center ? Something like a child who could insert a credit and push start when we are at a last boss.

No Fu, no fraggles inserting random credits. Mostly hardcore fighter players and the odd Cylon.

Sorry DEL - really it was a tiny mention on a tiny Sky TV show for X-League TV, and I certainly specified that it wasn't somewhere for your tourists expecting big arcade machines. I wouldn't worry though - it was tiny mention while everyone was arguing and it might not even make the final cut!

Nobody watches the poxy show anyway!

Hey its cool spadgy  . I seriously doubt that anything short of a primetime BBC1 slot would make any difference to arcade attendance these days. After all, Londoners have had about 25 years to discover Casino Arcade, and only a hardcore few go there despite its longterm existence.

Flights are booked. I'll bring my girlfriend with me, although she'll probably wander off to do some tourist stuff by herself during the main meet.

I got Pork. (The JAMMA kind, not the kind you slap on a grill.)
I can send it down to DEL for the Meet if there's no one in the London crew with it by then.

Speaking of the Meet, got my weekend off booked, so I hopefully should be down there for a few days. Bringing a friend who's visiting family down there. He's not a shmupper (he's a *gasp* casual gamer), but I think between us and the games at the arcade, we should be able to convert him. ^_-

Hmm...you have Pork - Excellent!

I'll see what we can do about a nice vert cab for the weekend (should be asking Masamune about this  ). Don't send, just bring it with you if you can Mr Icarus, then we can kick back and watch LUNardei performing a 1-ALL.

Cheers, DEL

^Big!

I'll be most interested to see how you mix big score with distance in Pink Sweets.

simple answer: i dont.
i honestly cant think of a way to beat the stage 5 boss. this thing is impossible! (only beat it ONCE and that was accidental or call it extremely lucky)
i really hope i can improve my play until march.

I didn't even think to that, but will the cabs be on freeplay or need coins ?

Its a working arcade, so coins.
Most cabs are not expensive, for instance the Pink Sweets sit-down is £1.00 for 3 credits.

Totally looking forward coming over for the ATEI at the end of January, but there now is a chance that I might not be around early march.... :x

Currently on a waiting list for surgery and though they know it won´t take place before early feb, they also can´t guarantee it will after march 1&2.
The surgery itself will have me tied to bed for about 2 weeks at the least.
So if it IS really early feb I surely will make it, if it´s end of feb I´ll try to postpone it (if that´s even possible) until after the scheduled meet.

Will know more in a few days so I´LL keep you guys updated.
Will do everything I can to be able to make it for the official meet.
It´s been too long already.

Well thought I might just well make a new post to bump this thread and make it known that I can make it for sure.

Surgery has been planned for March 17, so I´ll have no obstacles keeping me from coming. :D

Will book flight and accommodation as soon as possible.
Is the Barryhouse Hotel the home base again for some of you again?

I am in doubt whether to book this again (has been great last time) or a cheap ass hostel...
