I think its a real winner As long as you play the low rank way. I first played it at the Milan Meet a year ago. I'll be sticking to the low scoring first ship until I see a replay other than the 1-5 one on Super-Play.what do you think of pink sweets, DEL?

Re: Think Pink
Yup me too. Really looking forward coming over again.DEL wrote: Mr Laydock - Glad you've booked the flight!
ATEI and meeting up is all fine, but that (now not so...) mystery game certainly is the icing on the cake.
Very generous of Ill6 of lending out his board. Is he really letting it go for a few months...?
Anyway, a big THANK YOU seems in place...
It should be a meet-maker indeed.

it was nice seeing you again, ROM and ARH!!!
i'll be heading back this wednesday morning... so until next year...
ps: enjoy the meet guys, as much as i wanted to be there.....

Mills - CHI may not be online for a bit, so the answer is he's gone back to run the restaurant in the Paradise Island of St.Kitts. He'll be back in June.
ARC - Do you still have the V-V board? French player Fu is approaching the end of the second loop, like we used to . he just might make it over for the Meet, so it would be an idea to re-install V-V
Can you make it down tomorrow night to pick up your Ketsui? Pink Sweets will go in as long as Bob's around....or we drag John downstairs to do it.
I will also bring LUN's Sanwa for installation.

Its In
and it wasn't easy.
We had to get the Boss John Sturges to do it, which basically took a week of waiting for the right moment.
He set it up well though, with good volume and screen settings.
Pink Sweets being played by local Kusogaki.

Do you recall hearing the audio whilst playing Ketsui last night?
Plugged the board in and there's no audio! I'm kinda pissed, anybody reading this forum know anything about repairing cave boards or have any idea what could be the problem?
http://shmups.system11.org/viewtopic.ph ... und+ketsui
These two threads have stuff on possible problems, but I'm sure someone else will be able to give you a better answer.
!
ARC - There's absolutely nothing wrong with the Ketsui sound. Does your supergun have a sound switch on the front? Some games won't play sound with it on, some with it off. I found this recently with my Lightning Fighters PCB, all I had to do was flick the sound switch on the front of my Supergun and Hey Presto! I had to switch it back for Pink Sweets to produce sound.
!
I knew you'd solve the sound problem.
I had the same problem until Tony at Raven told me to flick that switch.
LUN - Looks like I'll be handing the Sanwa back to you - lack of cabs that it can be fitted to .

Re: !
Ah, this is a bad issue. I don't think it's impossible to fit it in a panel, but it's up to the engineer to decide whether to do some "heavy" works on it or not.DEL wrote:LUN - Looks like I'll be handing the Sanwa back to you - lack of cabs that it can be fitted to .
What kind of japanese-style stick could fit on a cab like the mushi one? If there's just a possibility let me know

^Well that's just the thing->Bob the engineer has gone. News is that he's gone to Ireland to raise his kids there.
I will of course get Masamune to do his level best to make the Mush joystick work perfectly.
Despite the lack of Bob, we've still got:
Pink Sweets
Progear in a sit down cab with a sanwa-type stick
Strikers 1945 on very hard
Mushihimesama
Strikers 1945 Plus
Raiden III
Super Laydock is coming over for the ATEI Show and we will hold a mini-meet at that time.
The larger London Meet VI will probably still occur a little later on.
ill6 - Your Pink Sweets board is in the cab and is safely marked that it belongs to you. John Sturges the Boss is fully aware of this and handed ARC's Ketsui and Dodonpachi boards back to him no problem when we did the Pink Sweets switcheroo. Again, Thanks

Ace! I'll be down in the holiday to give it a go!DEL wrote:Cheers CHI, have fun in paradise!
Mr Laydock - Glad you've booked the flight! The mystery game lent by ill6 is PINK SWEETS. It will go in the arcade on friday (I tried to get John Sturges to install it last friday, but he was too busy with the fruit machines).
Re: !
I'm certainly up for the main meet - I really hope it happens. I almost want to offer some sofa space to people who can't afford accomodation for the weekend just to secure a few more numbers, but as I don't know any of you maybe that would be stupid.DEL wrote:Super Laydock is coming over for the ATEI Show and we will hold a mini-meet at that time.

With regard to the mini-meet, is that cool for anyone to come to, as you all seem to know each other well? I've never met you guys in the flesh despite my visits to Casino each week, and I've not been here too long, but I'd love to put some names to faces and come to the mini-meet... and just see some people to play shmups with rahter than boring my wife and mates! Mind you, my wife's pretty shit hot on DoDonPachi, so I put the ring on the right finger!
!
Ok weekend of 1st 2nd March. I expect Plasmo to be at the end of Extended Mode's 2nd loop (Pink Sweets) by then.
The game's going down very well in the arcade, as I expected.

Make sure you fill in the VAT number box, even though the incompetent people who set it up haven't allowed for all the digits .
I have just registered.
Mills - Do the same.
spadgy - I probably saw you play Mush the other week - brown hair??

I've got a skinhead, but the brown hair is working it's way into public as I've been so busy of late.
If you need to register as press they ask you to ring re the VAT code - and you get given this: 12345678
Cunning password eh? So yeah - that's how you register as press without speaking to anyone...
Not that I told you that...

Always love meeting some fellow shmup lovers. Also you can see me suck at most every game in the Casino.
