Crazy. These are the guys who were fed up from making sequels? I've never played Bangaioh, but it never appealed to me that much. I'm not that excited anymore.

I haven't played it either but I've watched some vids and if it's done right I could see it being pretty fun.

Here's a vid of the DC version: http://youtube.com/watch?v=s8cQEDXSTrA& ... ed&search=

Oh, its a very fun game! I highly recommend it. I actually like the N64 a little better than the DC one, but they are both top notch games in my book.

This begs the question.. how large is the mech gonna be.. about a pixel? Bangaioh is pretty small... I have to wonder how trackable this will be on the small screen.

If they take advantage of both screens, it could be 2! :) Yeah, that is a great question though. I just fired it up for the DC version and the cut scenes that make no sense at all. Gotta love it!

How are they going to fit 400 missiles, dozens of robots and hundreds of explosions all on the screen at once?

Dual screen action would be nice... if they want to take a shit all over the game.

Well Maegawa said they wanted to move on to new stuff, but Yaiman (who is one of the central guys on the handheld team) did mention having some great ideas for a new Bangai-O during an interview when Astroboy was released. So I'm not surprised by this.

I don't expect it'll be too close to the original, though.

OT: You guys ever read about a metal slug cabinet catching fire during testing? Awesome.

I could see the level editor being cool but every editor I've used on a portable barely allows you to edit anything.

Have you played Megaman Powered Up? If the editor is anything like that then you'll be set, buddy!

I prefer playing the game in fucked-up Engrish than seeing Kanji.

A quick check and I saw the word "Danmaku" in there. Someone should do a more readable scan, so I can do some translating. The web page says:

On Sale this winter.

A playable display will be at the Tokyo Game Show 2007. For details check us out in the assembly hall.

Awesome. I'm working on a translation now. This is my second translation attempt so expect it to be better.

Edit: Available later today or tomorrow.

There's two lines I left untranslated because I couldn't understand them. I'd appreciate if someone could explain them to me since I've become quite interested in them.

Also, I'd like to point out that this translation is not 100% accurate. I don't think I made any big mistake, but if anyone notices any, feel free to comment.

Now, I gotta get some ZZzzzzz. This took like 4-5 hours to make.

Edit: I'll see if I can fix some of the more Engrishy sentences later. I'm too sleepy now.

Edit 2: Everything translated thanks to a guy in Sweden :).
