Battlestar Galactica shooter coming to XBLA?

I was reading this article over at 1up, and apparently the Galactica game in the works for XBox Live Arcade is a vertical shooter?

If that's the case then I'm not sure how the various multiplayer modes are supposed to work, but suddenly I'm looking forward to the game even more than I was.

Edit: Gamespot has some more info. It is a top down shooter, with other battles going on in the plane below yours. Periodically AI wingmen will swing by and help you fight, and you have three weapons: machine guns, rockets, and a 3rd weapon that is dependent on the craft you're flying, with ammo that must be collected from downed enemies.

Not much on the multiplayer modes, though.

As a big fan of BSG this sounds interesting... too bad I don't have an X360. The third weapon should be a nuke

Similarly to gradius their main fighter ship is called the Viper. Any other fans here?

I'm sort of wondering how it'll be a vert shooter. The article says you can do manueavers and stuff... suggesting more than just 2 d movement?

From the screens it looks like 3d movement, similar to rogue squadron on gamecube.

Not a fan huh. The game might suck or whatever, but the show doesn't...
