Sounds like this is going to be like what microsoft did with XNA and XBLA. Unfortunately due to stringent quality control and money microsoft force you to spend up front in order to qualify this places it well out of the reach of homebrew developers. To develope for XBLA will cost you several hundred thousand dollars which means it has to be a proper business proposition for anyone attempting it. And then it's still not garaunteed that Microsoft will actualy publish the game or not. I imagine it'll be similar for the Wii.

I'll certainly post something as soon as I hear. I agree with Motoherp, though, that this is very unlikely to be something a hobby/homebrew developer will truly benefit from.
