CAVE Hardware Issues Feveron SOS

Post by AKRATEN »

Hello,
I recently bought Feveron SOS and Power Instinct 2 Jamma boards
and both of these boards *cave hardware* have the same strange issue on my arcade hardware.
the video appears to have a hold problem where the picture is moving as if the verticle hold is broken.
the video is is rolling from top to bottom.
i have a sega astro city 29 and have played a bunch of jamma games on it with no problems.
i also have a mas super gun and it has problems on that too.
i did get the power instinct to work on my japanese neo geo 4 slot
but the fever sos is still acting up.
any idea's?

You need to adjust the vertical hold on your monitor. Your cab monitor chassis should have a pot you can turn to adjust this.

I messed around with the hold on the monitor and it still has the issue.
i tryed these boards on other arcade machines and the same results happen.

the only other thing that could be it then is you're feeding the composite sync line to the horizontal input only. Make sure the Sync from your board has 75ohms between ground and that there is video ground connected as well. These may also be the problem.

Glad you got it sorted :D These games use a frequency of 57.5 Hz instead of 60 and that confuses a few monitors.

The button just below the processor is the same as the TEST button on your cabinet. But you have to hold it down a bit for it to activate.
