SD AW Cab, Wei-ya C3129A monitor click-click-clicking. Help!

Post by McMasters »

So, I got a cab, and the Wei-ya C3129A in it turns off after about an hour of play. It doesn't just 'turn off', though - it sounds like it is trying to start up, failing, trying again, etc etc etc. About one second between each. If I let it sit for a half hour, it'll turn on again, only to give me the same issue. (it also has some horizontal scan line glitching on really brigth lines, but that goes away in a minute or two)

Someone says it is the Horizontal O.T - http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=37090.0 is someone with the same prob as me.

Now, what would I buy / do to alleviate this issue?

Did you buy it like this? Did it work before? Is this a replacement Chassis? Whats the size of the tube?

Its very possible the HOT is flaulty, but why it blew may be a bigger problem. Better off just buying a replacement chassis. I believe Excellentcom has them for $168.

Thanks! Another board says it may be a cold solder joint, which is something I can check for pretty easy. If that isn't it, I'll contact excellentcom ASAP. thanks!
