This is a little 5 min shooter i made.
You can change color and collect bullets like in ikaruga.
Maybe the object number is a bit too much, but i wanted to test whats possible with blitzmax :lol:.

controls:
A: use energy
S: hold to shoot / tap to change color

That's pretty cool. And yeh you're right, it does get a bit frantic, but not completely unmanageable if you keep getting yourself in the rings and streams and turning everything into gold. The thing that kept catching me out was swapping shield colours when you started to fire if I was concentrating on taking out the enemies. In fact I found it easier to play by not firing at all except for tapping the button to change colours.

I already joined shmup-dev last year.
Your art of collision tutorial helped me to improve the collision detection :)

Ah cool, sorry I didn't recognise the name. I'm glad you find the tutorials helpful, its good to know people are putting them to use. Well hopefuly we'll see you taking part in the next compo :wink:
