you mean it would make a better shmup than mcgee's attempt at a FPS? i can't recall if this was a flop or not...

It was a mediocre 3D action game. ATLG was better represented in Dragon's Lair II.

This new game is apparently titled "Tenshi no Juushya" which is something like "the angel's bodyguard".

Judging by the pic, it's off to a good start.

I'm holding out for a Touhou tribute of sorts. If TH10 is really going to be easier, maybe this will fill the gap.

Of course, the chances of me ever playing it are minimal.

I am surprised to see something darker again. I thought Cave would keep doing cute shmups for all eternity (not that there is something wrong with cutesy in itself, but sometimes I love grim, gothic stuff).

Take a look at the doujin made "Heart of Dark" shmup in the Dezaemon Plus game import for the PSX...that fully-realized shmup has a very dark & grim horror based theme -- very interesting last-stage boss to fight against... ^_~

Could Cave be getting into the "horror/supernatural" genre for it's latest arcade shmup title after the much hyped about Muchi Muchi Pork PCB kit release? Bring it on..... ^_~

Maybe its a completely innovative sequel to Progear, but this time as a vertical scroller! With airplanes! And Owls!

Honestly, I quite like the design. It instantly remembered me on the Alice Clones as well, although the girl on the pic doesnt wear those cool sunglasses ^^

I'd be happy to get a shooter with a Dracula X theme, Daioujou-difficulty and with as much style as Progear/Guwange!

Yep. Cave stated in their last financial report they were going to exclusively make shmups for the arcade scene for at least the next year or two. And they have a tradition of giving a little teaser preview of an upcoming shmup in the OST booklet of a previous shmup.
