Hey guys, I recently acquired this commodore monitor for shmup (saturn, hopefully) uses, but I took a look at the back and have no idea what to do with it! Help!
That monitor also supports TTL RGB signals (not useful for games) and regular old composite of course. The Saturn outputs S-video, I have mine hooked to a tate'd C=1702. You just need to make your own cable (or splice together a C64 monitor cable and a Saturn S-video cable).
Dann wrote:cool. so do they make all-in-one saturn cables like that? Or, perhaps a better question, what consoles can output that?
You should be able to find a saturn S-Video out cable on eBay, I'm sure.
just don't plug it straight into the monitor, because standard S-Video Luma is on the same pin as that commodore monitor's "audio" cable. That could be bad.
You're going to have to make your own custom S-Video->Commondore connector.
