I have a PS2 and there are a few games I want to record some sessions on, and while I've got ATI TV USB Adapter, it doesn't exactly help me. I've got two main problems:
USB Transfer is so slow I can't play fighting games on the display (commands are buffered by half a second or more)
Video Compression isn't ideal for what I'm working on.
Any suggestions would be great.

The world would be a better place if there were less shooters and more dot-eaters.

You have two options for the lag:
1: Split the output w/ a splitter. One goes to TV, other goes to capture device.
2: If you have a TV w/ output, then go into the TV, and out to the capture device.
For the compression, it depends on the software. uiVCr or whatever it's called will compress as you play. Most other capture software that I'm familiar with will not.

This is what I do. I only have a cheapo USB capture device that I got for $20 off eBay but it works very nicely.GaijinPunch wrote:You have two options for the lag:

No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.
