Thunder Force 6 Refuses to Die

If this isn't new, apologies.

According to the link, and what I was able to piece together with online translators, Factory Noise & AG (the people who have been releasing the Thunder Force/Technosoft related soundtracks) have been working on an actual TF6 game on the down low, and are releasing it as "Broken Thunder", which isn't related to "Thunder Future" as far as I can tell. It is currently scheduled for an April release.

The link is advertising a "Broken Thunder Preview Disc" and has screenshots of some new ships: FIRE LEO-05VC "Syrex", RVR-03G1 "Bracer", and a mass production model "Syrex".

OMG.... That vid was awsome. Who is doing this?! The same guys that have been releasing the soundtracks. I think this is the most excited I've been about a new release in quite awhile.

Finally something I don't have to tell mysell to be excited for, after under defeat those late DC releases have not been cutting it. Still I guess i should wait till something is more concrete...

Let's hope indeed it's not a hoax. This could be just a promotional video they made to pitch the idea to a publisher.

I could make out the word C.E.N.E.S. at the end of the video. Probably will explain what happened to the pilot of the Vambrace?

Yeah, I've pretty much stopped holding my breath for the next game in this series. If it comes out, it'll probably be for the DC... and if so, give it to G.Rev.

If there is a God up in Heaven, let this thing be for real... and let it be for Dreamcast or PC.

Regarding the movie, I liked it. It seems to use CGI for everything, but executes it with a very anime style (fast cuts, quick camera and ship movements, dramatic angles, etc.). Very nice, and a unique approach to CGI usage.

Actually the "mech" in question looked like a derivation of Guardian's Knight to me - except much bigger and fortunately better equipped. I suppose he knocked-out all but 3 of the fleet going after him in that clip. I'm inspired if not excited, personally. Let's rejoice.

And could we get an interpreter in here, please? Someone could surely shed some actual light as to what is going on w/ this game, right?

This page says it is indeed a continuation of TF5. They don't know what the target platform is but speculate that it will be PC.

Well, any doujin TF5 sequel has been overdue for quite some time. The lack of an official "Thunder Force VI" title here suggests someone else still holds the rights...
