NTSC-J - 101,992,607 - 1- ALL - Tiger Shwert

Disappointing to not be first on the table, but this felt so good to finally beat. Especially nice considering I missed the stage 5 1-up. I think I'll switch back to the Panzer and work on that score.

nicely done! just out of curiosity, were you denied the lesser second loop? (one has lower standards than the special round)

Yea, the lesser loop requires that you bomb/die a total of 6 or fewer times and I was down to my last fighter with no bombs when I beat it, so I got nothin. It's gonna be a looooong time before I no miss/no bomb the first round...especially with that beastly stage 5.

wish the old score board couldve been salvaged but whatever. saved my ketsui high thankfully (lost my esprade one though). anyways,

japtor - 50,286,243 - 1-5 - Panzer Jager

finally got the cab hooked back up and running after over a month of ant invasions in the area. course it just started raining again. oh well. first two tries back i got 35 mil, then 40 on my last. damn planes in 4 that dump a bunch of pink bullets still cause me problems.

first try of the day:

japtor - 51,527,905 - 1-4 - Panzer Jager

one stupid death on the level 3 boss, which i have seemed to do every time since i got the cab back up and running. then what felt like 20 deaths on 4, although figuring it all out now, 'only' 5 deaths (got both extends + 1up on 3 - death on 3). one or two in the beginning, 2 some time after the mid boss, and last one after getting past most of the boss' 2nd or 3rd pattern. well its progress at least, higher score without needing to get as far. and just noticed, woo it puts me at #3.

edit, 3rd try (2nd try was a for fun run to see what i could do with the tiger, got 39-40 mil):

japtor - 52,081,069 - 1-5 - Panzer Jager

lost a life right before killing the 4 boss, and then last life right at the beginning of 5. that was a nice crushing defeat.

same here :P

course it started raining again. ants be damned, i got bait to control them now.

and the reason for my post, 4th try of the day!

japtor - 65,099,466 - 1-5 - Panzer Jager

think i beat my last high by the time i got to 5. 100 mil might actually be possible for me if i can just survive longer. ive gotten 60-70 mil in 5 alone on practice runs.

Damnit... new high score, but I died THREE times before using a bomb. All goofups. It was such a good starting run... I even did mid-boss 3 w/o using a bomb, but just got unlucky in a couple of parts

Minimal improvement -- was able to get 2 extra ships before
stage 3 boss, but blew it afterwards..

i have a much easier time with the 3rd boss than with the 2nd and its grenade attack
how do you get the extends in stage 3 and 5?

Stage 3 - Destroy all parts of the midboss without bombing and you should get a 1-up.

Stage 5 - in the first section (before the midboss), destroy the buildings and large tanks without using bombs. 1-up will come out of a helicopter before the midboss. I'm not completely sure on this one, I think it is only certain buildings and tanks, but I never experimented enough. You can use bombs as long as you don't destroy the buildings/tanks.

Good luck!
