Two new Triangle Service shmups for 2007
Two new Triangle Service shmups for 2007
They will be shown at the AOU show:
http://am.sega.jp/utop/show/aou_2007/mach.html
One is called "Shooting: technical skills test" and the other is "Exzeal", presumably a sequel to Trizeal.
"Shooting: Technical skills test" seems to be a mobile game, there's some pics at Triangle service's site:
http://www.triangleservice.co.jp/index.html
Thanks to Danmakugata for pointing this out.

I still haven't gotten ahold of Trizeal (I have played XII Stag, and feel...well, the same way most do about it, more or less), but I suppose it's always good to see a new shmup being developed. Here's hoping this one gets a warmer reception than the last few...and that the head of Triangle won't have to get on his virtual knees and beg us to buy it this time.

These pics? They are extremely similar to the omake game in Trizeal's PS2 port. Maybe the mobile game is just a port of it?twe wrote:"Shooting: Technical skills test" seems to be a mobile game, there's some pics at Triangle service's site:

No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

I'm happy!
Exzeal... My first thoughts were of that "ExZeus" game for NAOMI. That, along with their "Project LAMBDA" makes me wonder if it'll truly be a vertical shooting game... but whatever it is, I'm keen on checking it out. Exzeal does sound as though it would be a sequel to Trizeal, but as far as franchise naming conventions go, it could end up being Trizeal on rails (a la Project LAMBDA), or Trizeal in bitmaps instead of polygons, or anything. I can hardly wait to find out.
This is fantastic news! Thanks twe!

Same here. I've been looking forward to hearing something like this for quite a while!scrilla4rella wrote:glad to hear triangle service is still kicking. I was wondering when they would make another move after Trizeal's success and subsequent PS2 port.
If the biz-wham is good, then I am fully in agreement.scrilla4rella wrote:Trizeal is the biz-wham!

I made a post on insert credit about this, ripping-off several comments from people in this forum.
Now normally I would have thanked twe and linked this thread, but when I did this for Muchi Muchi Pork there was strong resistance from certain member(s) of the IC establishment to not link this forum again.
So what I decided to do is to only link occasionally... It's a compromise, but I think it's worth it, since IC is read by a lot of people and it's a good thing to help expose them to shooters as much as possible.
This is my excuse anyway...

Yeah, this is definitely the "title ever"
I hope he pulled enough capital from his previous projects that he can stick with producing games and let other people do the actual dirty work of making them. He seems to know what makes a good shooter, just not how to execute his vision and wrap it up in a suitable package.GaijinPunch wrote:Anyone else hope they hire new artists? eg, people that can jack up the polycount, assuming they stick w/ the 3D route?
Well, you admit you're ripping off from people. There's no excuse for that in my opinion. If you get the info from somewhere you should source it, just like in any journalism or professional writing. If people there have a problem with that then tough luck. It's better to be professional than cater to the whims of some curmudgeonly people at IC, wouldn't you agree?icycalm wrote:I made a post on insert credit about this, ripping-off several comments from people in this forum.
If I got some info from your site, I'd cite it, regardless of what other people thought. It's a matter of principles really.
Anyway, just my 2 cents. People cut and paste my stuff all the time without sourcing where they got it from, so I'm sorta used to it. It is the intraweb after all!
Yeah, fuck it, I fixed it. People rip off stuff from me all the time too, and I know how it feels. I was just under considerable peer pressure, and since I am the new guy there I decided to give some ground. Wrong decision.twe wrote:Well, you admit you're ripping off from people. As for which people on IC don't like this place, that's really not important, and I certainly wouldn't want to discuss this any further.
