I've played these most of my life. I love IF stuff. I just can't stand the games that you can get into an unwinnable state (zorks are horrible for this, though I like them alot).

Agreed. There's a couple IF competitions online that turn out some really quality stuff every year.

Home of the Underdogs is pretty good about keeping tabs on the winners, reviewing them, and keeping them on their server. They've also got some really good old text titles.

Yup. I frequent the underdogs often for many different types of games. I mess around with some of the IF comp stuff too.

One of my favorites thus far has been "Time." It was released I think around 4-6 years ago. Can't quite remember. It's a z-code game, VERY well written and I don't think you can get into a bind.

Can the mods yank out this and the last few posts and start a separate IF topic so we don't pollute the bios thread?

Not "Time: All Things Come to An End" by Andy Philips? The game is painful; the equivalent of Rayxanber II.

That sounds right. I can't remember offhand but the name rings a bell. I loved that game.

It had you travelling back in time to nazi Germany at one point - that the same game?

And the beginning you obtained a knife that you twist to turn on and scare off a mugger or something?

I'm not that great in Gradius V, but I'll see... (Given that you're a torontonian and you're from HK, Come to Orbit one day, I'll mostly be there playing IIDX and Giga Wing 2.) ;)

I don't go to Pacific Mall that often(imagine a Saturday afternoon @ the parking lot...there's no way I will ever get anywhere close to the Steeles/Kennedy area on the weekends AGAIN), but hopefully I can see you someday in Orbit. :)
