Post by lynchesque »

Seeing as I'm a filmmaker:

lynch=David Lynch, one of my favorite film directors

esque=in film jargon it refers to a particular director's style, or as the french like to say: "mis en sen" (felliniesque, bergmanesque, etc)

Mine is a pun on the acronym UFO (Unidentified Flying Object.) I hope anyone noticed.

Part of a name (pen-name) I made up long long ago. Since it was when I was pretty young I can't say what inspired me but it's unique and I've liked it ever since.

Pirates!!! :P

I like tha tag because it's been said that I have the mentality of a pirate. The number on the back is easy. It's my birthday. 10/19. October 19th. Even if I don't use the tag 'pirate' I always put '1019' at the end of any online alias.

Contrary to popular belief, Ninjas and Pirates are the same amount of awesome.

It's from an RPG Project I'm working on.

Ooohhh I'm a big David Lynch fan myself. :D

Anyway, mine is, obviously, taken from the Metal Gear Solid series of games. I don't necessarily like Revolver Ocelot all that much but I liked how the name Shalashaska sounded and I'm not a very creative person on my own so....

YES!!! What's your take on Blue Velvet? I think it's hands down the best American film of 80s. Although Raging Bull is right up there...

It means "Mr. Shade" in German. I was playing Baldur's Gate at the time I needed to pick a username. In the game there's a very funny NPC with the same name.

Just from some old game. The game isn't even good but the name just popped in my mind. No great stories behind it.

There's a person (I think it's a troll) in one of the Terry Prattchet books that has the name Mr. Schatten.

RotateMe is a demand to rotate the nickname. Then you eMetatoR. Which means nothing but with a bit of imagination it refers to imitator. Which has nothing to do with who I am or what I do. It pretty much sucks...

Speed Freak fan

It's nostalgic for me, since I used to play the arcade machine back in '79 or '80. I wish mame would get the sound samples someday.

Character from a really cheesy Fantasy novel I completely love called 'The war of Powers' -it has everything, swords, sorcery, and women having sex with lizard men!. The protagonist - Fost Longstrider, slays every enemy and beds every woman!

It's an abbreviation of a previous username that hopefully no longer exists anywhere on the internet.

My username is a personal homage to the awesome japanese comic/ performance art group, "Tokyo Shock Boys" (Dengeki Network). They were the jackass before Jackass. Too bad their original homepage is gone, it had killer engrish and stuff something like "teenage girls often wet themselves during our shows" ^___^

Interviewer: If you have a day off in NY, what do you want to do?
Nambu: Oh, I have'n been in strip shows, so I want to go. Also I want to go to museums.

I constantly unintentionally make references to games I don't play or like anymore in my usernames.

This one's from Tyrian, what the numerous pointless special moves were called. See if you can figure out exactly where that came from!

Mine's simple. I have a fondness for the NEC SuperGrafx.
And yes, I own the entire library for the console, as limited as it may be. :)
