Holy cow that looks pretty decent! I would get together with you but I'm currently working on 2 shmups at once. However you might try Shmup-Dev. Lost of programmers there that have a passion for shmups.
Hope you find a programmre real soon!
Some of the best shmups don't actually end in a vowel.
No, this game is not Space Invaders.
