I broke my Starforce!

Post by mulletgeezer »

I bought a Starforce pcb with a wired in JAMMA converter from ebay quite a while ago, and due to a moment of extreme stupidity I plugged it in the wrong way round the first time i connected it, and of course it then didn't work when i tried it the correct way. I'd been told before that doing this kills a board, but now i'm wondering just exactly what happens when a board is connected the wrong way, and whether it's completely terminal or if it might be fixable. Does anyone have any idea?

What likely happened is that it sent all the high voltage wires (+5, 12 V) through the circuits where normally the controllers and stuff are connected, frying the board.... =/

Ah, that's it.
