thanx coop, likewise 8)

man im still shakeing :P not enjoying this game much at all (a good tournament choice tho) so i felt really preassured to produce a good score as quickly as possible, already been playing it for a couple of nights now :x

its just one of those games that you have to grind and eventually lady luck will give you that run where all the enemy placements and stuff are just right...

man im stoked oldschool week is over, i hate pre 90's shmups :P

Heh. Well, I don't know about that. Plenty of good players have gotten close to or above the 2 million mark already, so unless everyone just stops playing abruptly, my score's still in jeopardy... especially with a good day-and-a-half yet to go ;)

And Sweden still in the game. Shucks. Next round.
Yah - nice job The Coop. I'm not sure I'm going to try topping that. I did some playing today - ended up playing Gigawing instead. =)

Sorry about the lousy photo.

It's been raining all day here in Boston, so I locked myself in the office/game room, wife went out for the day and the rest is history. I'm going to enjoy this high score because when Psikyo week rolls around I'm toast.

True, I usually grab the 50k bonus but I first heard about the 80k bonus moments ago.

I just noticed that and I agree with the sentiment. My lousy updated score +2 turned into a -1.

They're kind of hard to get unless you've got an arcade button to work with.

I've gotten the 50k bonus twice, just not on this run. :?

I want to be The Coop when I grow up! ...and GJ to Tvspelsfreak, too. Looks like this will be close.

The stars aligned, and a light shown down upon the monitor. In that light, was a man smiling like an idiot, flipping off his monitor as he typed in his screen name initials and grabbed a finishing screenshot... and then began rubbing his sore hand and wrist

Insane score, Coop, you're a better man than I (not like that's too hard to pull off, but...). Looks like Team Old Schoolers will live up to its pedigree, and how.

I've already done the Japanese version of RF1 back when I still had the PCB.
Not sure if I can be bothered to relearn the game again. ^_-
Maybe someday I'll return to it and record a replay to verify my score... if the emulation of RF1 is somewhat decent (video- and audio-wise).

Graphics and play mechanics are ~99% emulated on RF1 (no problems I can see), music tempo is a little wrong on stages 3 and 6, though.

RF2: Don't bother.

RFJ: Almost everything but the last stage shadows are rendered just fine. Music tempo is slower, some instruments in the music are missing.

I doubt I'm going to have time to play again. Sorry, Davey and Landshark. I promise to do better in Psikyo week, provided a ported game is selected and I don't get swamped at work.
