Genesis 2 RGB cable mod required.

Post by neorichieb1971 »

If anyone on this forum can modify my Genesis 2 RGB cable so that RGB is displayed in a non-overly-bright fashion I would appreciate it.

Paypal ready and waiting.

Thankyou.

Richie.

Dude, just get a soldering iron, and three 75 Ohm resistors. and solder them in series one on each of the RGB lines. Piece of cake.

I assume you mean the R G B lines inside the cable right?

So just get the gamesx.com pinout and put 3 75ohm resistors in there?

I used 100ohm on the RGB lines since I couldnt find any 75ohm.

Works just the same I think, I sense a tad darker screen but the XRGB takes care of that with the amount of twiddling you can do. I'll change them to 75's later
