Gotta take a break from pcb buying. After 3 more items arrive (already paid for) I'm gonna give it a rest.

That being said, Raiden is incredibly fun.

Are my constant PCB posts considered spam? Just thougt I'd ask...

Anyway.. this game is freaking awesome, I'd never played it and bought the pcb due to it's reputation, and it really impressed me a lot. Between this and Raiden I gotta say Seibu was one of the best back the day, for sure.

Your arcade PCBs posts aren't considered spam, Arasoi...and yes, Seibu Kaihatsu along with USA-based Fabtek were ace in distributing the original Raiden series and the later Viper Phase 1 U.S.A./Raiden Fighters series Stateside. If you attended some of California's finer independent arcade establishments back in the mid-1990s, seeing the ol' Viper Phase 1 U.S.A. marquee was a good sign for the arcade shmupper fan. It meant that the arcade owner/operator had excellent taste when it came to arcade shmups in general. As long as the $$$ was coming in with the latest and greatest in arcade PCB software to provide the revenue/profits, business was good for arcades back in the 1990s. ^_~

^^ Two PCBs I own, and two awesome ones at that!

I see you got UsA Version (or 'New Version' in Japan). That's what I have, and I'm told USA/New is the better version! Enjoy!

EDIT: Had to add an extra '^' as PCEFX slipped in while I was writing!

PCE-FX is everywhere, and don't you ever forget it!

Arasoi's basically keeping this thread alive, and it's fun to see games running this way. No complaints from me!

That looks just lovely on your cab. I've put a small effort into the PS2 version recently(got to about 17 or 18 million) but that PCB version just looks so much better. You know, I've always bought more console shooters than I can play, and they are always inferior to PCBs. I think I'd rather spend more less frequently the occasional PCB game and have time to play it, than be "jack of all ports; master of none".

Time for me to commit to PCBs for a bit...

I think I need to bump the RGB levels up a little, but in the 15 mins I had this morning left it alone.

Played this a hell of a lot in Kernows a couple of weekends ago (when sorting his monitors out) and decided I had to have it :) For my purposes, it's the finest Cave title available 8)

(Custom sized repro glossy arts now printed and ready for some serious playtime after work tonight)

Not many more games left I want to get!

It's just world-of-arcades stuff :)

The size for an E2 instruction strip (and I've got this wrong twice before, so hopefully my measurements today are spot on, will find out later  ) is 536x85mm. The maximum size for marquee artwork is 300x275mm.

With A4, using Paint Shop Pro's print layout function I fit the instruction strip onto a single sheet in two pieces. Once cut out and overlapped carefully they look pretty good :)

Marquee I just max to A4 landscape size and trim the edges.

Recently picked up:

Alien Storm
Dragon Breed

Got some other goodies on the way as well. Trying to trim the fat out of my collection and just acquire solid items rather than having to have every PCB ever.

MMP got....
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

Atomiswave with Expansion Cartridge and Broadband Cartridge w/ Knights of Valour

Looked like SHIT on my Astro City, but on my Neo Geo MVS-U4 25" cab it looks amazing.

Still got some more stuff in the pipeline as well.

How's the gameplay of this Mrrax PCB, Stefan_L? I notice that it isn't a standard Jamma board and you have to use a custom-made wired fingerboard adapter to get it to work properly. Just looking from the single screenshot, it reminds me of Sega's shooting game of "Buck Rogers in the Planet Zoom" circa 1982. ^_~

I've haven't heard of your Mirax PCB before, cool find you got there. ^_~

The gameplay is like a mix of Buck rogers and Exerion... you should try it in MAME for exact detail
It already had an adapter soldered to it's connector, but for not jamma, i just switched a couple of wires fast to get picture and sound (no controls), as i bought the PCB as "untested" i really wanted to see if it started at all :)

I will solder of the wires and do an proper jamma adapter later.
