Are there any other users of these here? If so, have any of you had any trouble getting it to work correctly?
I picked one up in the last group order oxtsu organised, but for various reasons hadn't given it a go until now..
I have the switches set to off, except for 1, so I can have rapid fire on P1 button 1. On all the boards I've tried so far though, the button that should be rapid either just works as normal, or doesn't register at all (depending on the PCBs 15/s or 30/s switch position).
Have I stupidly set it up incorrectly, or could it be something else?

I've got one of those Sanwa MGM-SS2 Rapid Fire PCBs also...
For elbarto,
Yes, I've got one of those Sanwa MGM-SS2 Rapid Fire PCBs that I order in the second to the last of oxtsu's Sanwa/Seimitsu Group Order (SGO).
Unfortunately, it's still brand new and I haven't gotten around to testing it to see if it works or not -- still brand new and unopened in it's plastic baggie. ^_~
Since the Sega Agetech DC joystick didn't come with built-in auto-fire circuitry when using it with an Supergun + DC console setups, I thought that by getting such a Sanwa produced MGM-SS2 Rapid Fire PCB would give me some "auto-fire" functionality through the use of such an "external PCB" accessory. ^_~
On the old Shmups.com forum, I had Matt Ross install an "Rapid Fire" circuitry for my Deluxe Atari Jaguar Jamma Joystick so I could "flick" on or off auto-fire functionality anytime I wish when using it with either of my two Superguns. It works like a charm too. ^_~

elbarto - I've found that on my supergun the MGM-SS2 doesn't work with as many PCBs . On my Windy cabinet it has worked 100%. Now the question: WHY? Well, unfortunately I don't have the answer (the manual is no help, btw). I've done some testing just now and the best guess is that it is some GROUNDING issue. I'll contact Sanwa and see what they have to say about it. Seven other people have purchased the MGM-SS2 in the group orders, though the only feedback I've heard is from Rastan78. IIRC it's working 100% with his supergun setup, and no one else has reported any issues.
sidenote (you probably know, but I should mention anyway). MGM-SS2 mirrors button 1, so no matter what there will be TWO button 1's for each player, dips 1+2 for P1 (in this way, games that have a charge attack with the shot button can still be utilized accordingly).I have the switches set to off, except for 1, so I can have rapid fire on P1 button 1.
The only problem I had was that Metal Slug X would not work with 30hz for some reason. 15 hz worked fine. Maybe the 30hz was just too fast for this game to register as on on/off series. Other than that, mine works perfectly.
My only advice would be carefully check the pinout to make sure everything is wired up correctly keeping in mind that the autofire board will change the button layout. Also, maybe just experimenting with the switches more on all A buttons both 1P and 2P side to see if you can get autofire anywhere. What boards were you trying by the way?
