it is nice to break 200m, you're starting to get serious points in 1-5 aren't you? i bet you will be at 250+ in no time, points rack up pretty fast in 1-5.
by the way since you're the maintainer of the thread could you show the good example and include the ranking code in your pics?
btw i haven't found anybody to record my 436m game on french shmup.com, so no replay for now.

i'm playing the pcb next time, i'll do a full screen pic if you want, so you can see the credits:0
i just had another run that should've beaten that score, but i died a whopping four times on the stage 4 boss, and quickly bocked out on stage 5 (i was on my last life). yeah, i can see 1-5 being pretty good, but the section with the bee-like enemies and hexagonal background i think is difficult to chain

ok, i just meant it in the sense that for the PS2 port it is nice and easy to use so one should. don't go getting ideas that i don't trust your scorejpj wrote:i'm playing the pcb next time, i'll do a full screen pic if you want, so you can see the credits:0
by the way since you have the PCB what's your impression of the port? is it closer to 95% or 99%?

you're right, it is hard but to combo the beehive, but it is humanly doable unlike stage 4. with A-exy i use the C button a lot, but you have to laser the big bees.
do a lot of left-right, with a up-diagonal movement to prepare the cut-back.
better i post my new score to keep my place.
CRI - 215,676,480 - A-E - 1-5 - 1924 Hit
i post the pic latter because i havent upload it now.
EDIT:
pic is now online.
pic
cleared today the 1st loop.
also got the x2 bee bonus at stage 1,2,3 and 5.
but did bad combos in stage 5 in that run so no new score. (score was 187 mil)
died at the middel of 2-1.

congrats CRI i'll update when you post a pic
yeah, i did have ps2 version. i think i should buy it again, just for practicing the later stages. there is a touch of slowdown on the 2nd half of stage 1-5, i can't remember if it's present in ps2 version, it helps anyway! trouble with the beehive, is without bombs or hypers, it's easy to get trapped i agree with you for stage 4 some sections are just ridiculous. but i need to improve on stage 4 boss..................

also cleared the first loop
i scored badly through stages 4 and 5, but made it through stages 1, 2, and 3 on 1 life ( ), picked up the 1-up on stage 4, and only dropped 1 life on the stage 4 boss ( x2). when i realised i was nearing the end of stage 5, i entered what i call "the sweats", lol. and the 2nd loop...? fuck me. i knew there would be more bullets, but i totally underestimated the increase in SPEED. couldn't maintain a chain at all, from feeling so overwhelmed by bullets. hypered and bombed through the boss, and bocked out in 2-2. minimal improvement in score:

1up tips can be found here:superyoups wrote:I am interested in the 1UP in stage 4, could you describe how to get it.
For the moment, I am only practicing Stage 1,2,3, for around 32 Millions...
(I can chain Stage 1, 2 chains in stage 2, and almost nothing in stage 3)...

also i got an ibara kit two day's ago that want to be played.
but i will be back for this game in a month or so.
then i hope to get my score to something like 300-400 mil so i can record a new replay.
