This. Honestly, I regret painting mine.

I love that kind of art. One of the reasons JP boxes, from that time frame, are so cool.

The style reminds me of Angus Mckie, which is of course a compliment. I dont see anyone who master that kind of painting, sadly. One can get sick of all the digital brushes.

It really is. I lucked out finding it.

I also got Sapphire (not a bootleg), but I never got around to photographing it.
And I got Gimmick!.

People are gonna think I robbed a bank.

But I knew I had to take the pic of Recca. Too much of a holy grail.

Let me know when you get tired of it and feel like selling it for half of what you paid :3

They did a episode about RECCA on the STG Weekly youtube channel few days ago. Very good for NES.

Yes, I am glad that they got around to doing an episode about RECCA. I still haven't had the chance to watch it as yet but looking forward to it.

Funny thing is that I once bought a game (SFC, if I remember correctly) that had a price sticker that was marked much higher than what I paid for it.

As I've been talking about, I've been following up on my Dragon Quest backlog.
Most of these I've owned for a while, but both Dragon Warrior 1, 2 and 3, as well as the DS version of 5, the 3DS version of 7, and Builders, are all new acquisitions, bringing my series up to speed for all the versions of each game that I want to play.

I've had it with Dragon Quest after VIII (as if only my high tolerance to jRPGs in general allowed me to bear with it). It could be that undertaking jRPG programme requires a thing money can't buy after all.
Then again, perhaps Dragon Quest's day job is being Dragon Quest, affirming the world order thus. I can sympathise with the series' followers as for me, Suikoden does a similar thing. In hindsight, Suikoden III wasn't up to the mark left by I&II... but it still was Suikoden and as such - worth seeing through.

What was your problem with DQ8?

I'm personally bothered by the slow-ass battles and the constant loading for anything, including the menu, but overall it's not a problem for me. I find the game to be exellently designed despite these flaws.

Dunno, man. I typically fall for such a generic jRPG. Maybe all of that effort spent on 3D modelling (GTA-sized terrain) made the world seem so much more hollow than it seems when my party explores something more sketchy? It was difficult to shake off the feeling they tried pretty hard to develop something old-fashioned for the sake of it, that would not appear cheaply-made nonetheless.
It was the first PS2 game I bought for my first PS2 (expecting it to last long, which it did, but not really fulfilling my videogaming desires at that time).
Didn't mind its loading times terribly, mind... which is more than I can say about Chrono Cross & PSX Chrono Trigger port played afterwards. These two really challenged my patience. DQVIII was more playable alright, but in fact - I recall even Chrono Cross more fondly.

I've always loved the cover for Musha Aleste.

I have had M.U.S.H.A. since I was young. And it is worth more...but I am always kind of like "gah, I want that", when I see the JP version.

Probably the biggest impulse buy I've made in a while. A buddy of mine was going to the midnight release at Walmart, so I figured, "why not?"

What a lousy Excalibur DVD cover - the seller posted a different pic (featuring the original movie poster), then provided this. As for I Capuleti e i Montecchi, them prices those things tend to fetch keep leaving some bad taste. I understand that demand is very limited, hence limited print & high price point - BUT does it even justify releasing DVD separately from Blu-ray? Rather than a combined, 2-disk release - hardly unprecedented. I - for social reasons; easier to share - still prefer a DVD and who knows, it might well be the more sought after one at some point, but they seem to really push this "collector's item" line. What's more, it says "Region 0 (worldwide)" on the cover, but picture format is - apparently - NTSC. Well, I would think a hypothetical future DVD films collector would prefer - if only very slightly - PAL. Then again, it could well be filmed at 30 or 60 fps, but still - won't some of the earliest PAL DVD players (still a hypothetical future DVD connoisseur's fancy) have a problem running it?

Picked up a couple of PCE related things. Download 2 with remastered music and a remastered soundtrack audio CD, complete with saucy inlay cover. Oooooh hello cheeky!

Awesome art for a cool film. The VHS also uses that art.
