I've got about 15 hours or so on BL so far (split between Original and Maniac) and the only glitch I've seen is that if I switch shot types during a particularly large explosion or moment of action (destroying a mid-boss works well) my shot will cut out for a moment. This is usually when switching from rapid-fire to focused fire, with focused fire taking a second to "kick in" which often leaves me jamming on the fire button. Anyone experience this one?

I've found that in moments of slowdown it is sometimes difficult to register a quick jab of A Shot to soak up ground gems. Sometimes in arrange it will also register more than a simple dab and take off a chunk of my counter...

Maybe it's just the controller though.

You're sure you're not releasing C, right? When you stop firing then press A, there's a short period of no firing because Futari doesn't shoot a barrage of shots when lasering like most other Cave games do. Aside from that I haven't noticed such a thing.

Is the final bosses pattern in Ultra Novice supposed to keep coming after the boss is dead and your invincible or is it a glitch?
I did great so much water and milk that I threw up when I was little.

YouTube, idiots on it who base their assumption of the entire game's difficulty on the TLB, etc.

Now all of a sudden I've been getting those graphical glitches people have mentioned. I don't recall correctly, but as this was awhile back and i haven't touched the game for awhile, I'm unsure which mode it was. However, after getting such glitches, I'm experienced that darn stutter in BL often now. It's odd, but in no way detrimental to my game especially :P

If they want ridiculous TLBs they should be moving on to DDP DFK's Hibachi, or DOJ's Boss rush Dual Hibachi Special.

I'm interested into BL, but not so much in the stutters. Even though some of you say it's not really noticeable, there's the possibility it may not act the same on all boxes since some don't even get freezing. So in the case I find these too annoying, does uninstalling BL fixes the entire issue? Can you uninstall and install back at will or is there some DRM shenanigans to deal with? Having this little extra security would be enough to make me buy it right away.

I'm sorry if this has already been mentioned in the thread, I just couldn't bring myself to read 1000 posts to get these answers. Thanks.

Did you install the game to the harddrive (assuming you have one) and disable achievement notifications?

I cant beat the first boss in Ultra :(
God mode in BL is more manageable. To be honest though Manic in 1.5 or BL is so good I don't spend much time playing any other modes.

There's an interesting thing about ultra mode and average-joe players. When I bring Mushi to a public or convention gameroom, the first thing everyone tries on both PS2 Mushihimesama and 360 Futari is Ultra mode. Sure they just credit feed through it (and get stuck on the last boss pattern in PS2 Mushi), but it's such a grand spectacle to them that they just keep playing.

That's odd... Magfest had both the BL PCB and my copy of the 360 port, everyone pretty much stuck to Original - the only people I saw who ventured higher were those who had already played the game before.

Ack, never go from the T-word to this within 2 minutes; the resulting mental whiplash is like stepping out of an air-conditioned building into the oudoors on a hot summer day. :X

Just out of curiosity does anyone know if there's someone out there doing video captures of the downloadable replays? It'd be nice to look them over on the computer and be able to jump to exactly the point you want.

Yep, first thing i did when i got the game, was a straight HDD install. I've had my achievement notifications disabled for a long time now as well. I only got these issues after giving 1.5 Original a try actually, then returning to Black Label the very next day. Real odd. It's just random, i get nothing now though. However, thank you for the suggestions! :)

Back to the game, I've been playing BL Maniac quite a bit now, absolutely phenomenal. Loving it so much, especially after just receiving my HRAP EX-SE. ;)

I think you can use the left/right bumpers/triggers during the in-game replays to speed them up/jump to the next stage.

I knew you could fastforward, I must've missed the button to skip stages. Thanks, I'll take another look at it.

I could say the same thing about Palm. Almost like they cast the opposite voice actors. lol.

Palm's voice actor (Naomi Iida) also does Windia in Deathsmiles.

Hit a wall with the third level on original. All's ok until after the mid-boss when it all gets silly. So I am now just playing the third level on practice with default weapons and the rank up to 2. There's only 5 of us in the high score table I've got and I'm currently fourth. That third spot is mine!!

I fucking love this game. Yes swearing was necessary.

On the bright side, we don't get that ear-grating death cry when Reco dies from the first Mushihimesama game.
